The Vets Of Universal Turn Out This Night, Darlings, As "Svengoolie" Presents "The Ghost Of Frankenstein!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

                                          This one is worth a second look, girls, because look at that cast--Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill, Bela Lugosi (as Ygor), Evelyn Ankers (then "The Queen Of Screamers") and Lon Chaney, Jr. as the Monster.  The only one missing is Dwight Frye.

                                               I take the last back.  Dwight Frye, uncredited, was in the opening scene as one of the villagers.  I knew I saw him there.

                                             Does the plot matter?  Hardly.  It is enough to witness the set design, art direction, and these seasoned actors going through their paces.

                                              May has not been a great "Svengoolie" month.  But this film is certainly an improvement.
