What A Week! First Shelley, Then Dolly, And Now Tim Curry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, darlings, Tim Curry, the one and only Dr. Frank N. Furter, who was just a "Sweet Transvestite' From 'Transexual-vania'" has passed at the age of 80   And just a day after Dolly!  Both the same age--80!  Will that become the age to die now???????????

Tim Curry will always live on in "The Rocky Horror Show," and I hope the current cast, especially at today's performances pay him respect.

The role brought him instant fame but was not the only role he did.  He was the original Pennywise The Clown, in 1980's "IT," and was in some of the "Scream" films and "Home Alone 2."  He was even in the film version of the musical "Annie."  Predictably, he played Miss Hannigan's brother, Rooster.

No cause of death has been released, but in 2012 he suffered a severe stroke, and experienced health issues ever since.  All this likely had to do with his death.

Farewell, Tim Curry.  As long as anyone watches the film, sees a live stage version, or does the "Time Warp," you will be remembered.

                                          Rest In Peace!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. ARGGH! Oh no, not another icon! Looks like Shelley Fabares did start another cycle after all: something similar happened last year when we lost 5 or 6 within a few weeks of each other. Tim Curry, just as irreplaceable as some who predeceased him recently. No one will ever equal his Dr. Frank: that was the most balls-out, fully invested performance of a sensual omni-sexual character any actor has ever or will ever incarnate on film. Remarkably, he could bring almost the same fire into throwaway roles like the butler in "Clue" or even when covered in 100 pounds of prosthetics as Tom Cruises satanic nemesis in "Legend" (Tim deserved a special Oscar for his voice acting alone in that one).

    1. Victoria, I never recalled him having a stroke in 2012. I am sure health issues in its wake had to do with his death. So many great talents lost that can never
      be replaced.
