Happy Birthday, Julie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, darlings happens to be Julie Andrews' birthday!  This year, the star who originated Eliza Doolittle  onstage in "My Fair Lady," and defined maria Von Trapp for the ages on film in "The Sound Of Music," turns 77!!!!!!!!!!!!  Can you believe it?????????  And I am telling you, I have no doubt she can still do that opening twirl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Julie has been a trooper all the way, throughout her career, which included writing children's books, facing up to the loss of one of the last century;'s most iconic voices, yet still going on; she has almost lived the song "Climb Ev'ry Mountain!!!!!!!"

I feel so fortunate having gotten to see her onstage--was it the 80s or the 90s?--in the Sondheim revue, "Putting It Together!"  I believe she sang the classic, "Send In The Clowns," and, along with that of Glynnis Johns, it was the loveliest performance of that song rendered.  Better than that Catherine Zeta Jones, let me tell you!!!!!!!!!!

So, let us wish Julie the best on her 77th!!!!!!!!!  Keep on going, as generations treasure you legacy, which will endure for ages!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lusty and clear from the goatherd's throat heard, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
