The Golden Age Of Hollywood Is Really Going Down The Tubes, Darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine, having to awaken to the news that Mickey Rooney, whom I loved as Andy Hardy, Puck in "A Midsummer Night's Dream," his politically incorrect performance as Mr. Yunioshi in "Breakfast At Tiffany's, (I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!) not to mention playing second banana to Elizabeth Taylor in "National Velvet."  As well as each and every film he made with Judy Garland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mickey and Judy (wouldn't you love to have a coke with them, darlings?????) were the Spirit of Youth at MGM, which is where I should have been, and where I would have knocked that Juvenile Oscar out of Margaret O'Brien's hand, with my performance, in two seconds flat, not to mention belt and croon with such gusto even Judy would take note!  Alas, it was not to be. MGM--hell, the Studio System--did not last long enough for me!

Mickey Rooney, however outlasted it.  One of the few left who has.  As we say farewell with sadness for what he became, he will always be remembered for the youthful, exuberant, spirit, he was!

Now, he and Judy can put on those shows for Eternity!  But watch out for Ava Gardner, Mickey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
