It Must Have Been "Moonglow," Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"On a picnic morning, without a warning, I looked at you, and,
                                         somehow I knew!"
                                             "Picnic," by the McGuire Sisters

Labor Day was livened up in 1955, when the film version of "Picnic" appeared, and Kim Novak and William Holden danced to "Moonglow," in the party scene!  The holiday was never the same again, because all us girls who wanted to be Kim would go on to dance "Moonglow," wishing we could look like Kim  in that pink dress.  Labor Day had a whole new meaning, and then the McGuire Sisters chimed in, when lyrics were set  to the movie's haunting title theme composed by George Dunning .  Then it became a music fest, instead of a dirge for the end of Summer.

So, let's remember this day with "Picnic" and "Moonglow."
Here, we have "Picnic," by the McGuire Sisters.
                                     And, above, we have "Moonglow!"

Bask in the glow, girls, and have a great Labor Day!!!!!!!!!!!
