Saint Bernadette Herself Must Have Been Watching Over The Whole Thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On her Feast Day, forty years ago, though no one really knew it at the time, the History Of The American Musical Theater was about to explode.  A group of twenty four dancers, seventeen who would soon come to form an iconic Line, were warming up, griping, dealing with nerves, and getting in last minute rehearsals of steps, lyrics, blocking, to iron out the kinks to what was going to be presented to a paying audience for the first time this night, four decades ago.

A young dancer named Donna McKechnie had no idea she was going to go into the history books as The Greatest Show Stopper In Broadway History!  That's right, darlings!  And alter the lives of those who saw her, including yours truly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, before anything else, let us remember Donna and that number!

We all need that chance to dance, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
