Time To Shift To A More Holiday Mood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Winter Was Warm" has always been one of my favorite songs.  Though its lyrics do not mention Christmas specifically, that it was used in "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol," and begins with a woman gazing into a holiday themed snow globe, is enough to make it qualify, for me.

What was it about his melancholic, though beautifully written piece, that made me respond so keenly, as a prepubescent child????  I still don't know, but it remains a favorite.

And while it has been covered buy others, none have done it more justice than its originator, Jane Kean, who catches the mood perfectly.  That it is used as an ensemble piece on the closing credits indicate its importance to the score.

So, enjoy the season's first serious Christmas song, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
