Does The Ghost Of Alexander Hamilton Ever Haunt The Richard Rodgers Theatre??????????????
With Fourth of July fast approaching, darlings, thoughts turn historical. For Theater Queens of a certain vintage, it will always be "1776;" listening to the Broadway cast album, and watching the movie, if only for--oh, my God!!!!!!!--Blythe Danner!!!!!!!!!!
You want to hear something ironic????????? "Hamilton" is now playing at the exact same theater that "1776" opened!!!!!!!!!! Of course, back then, it was called the 46th Street Theatre. Wonder if that was intentional on Lin-Manuel's part?????????????
Theater is haunted by ghosts, a "Follies" brilliantly demonstrated. So, I have to wonder what ghosts stalk the Richard Rodgers. And if, thanks to the current show, one of those ghosts is that of Alexander Hamilton! Let's face it, he hasn't had such a ride of success--not even in his day!!!!--so why shouldn't he make the most of it. So, I wonder if actors or backstage workers have witnessed anything "strange." If you have, and read this, do let me know.
Aaron Burr may have taken Hamilton's life, but Mr. H is having the last laugh now!!!!!!!!!!!!!
