Gojira Is Plenty Outraged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His latest film, from TOHO, has been the Summer hit, in Japan!  All of his American fans want to see it.  He wants to greet those fans, shake hands, hug the children, even let them slide down his tail!  And we want that, too.

So, when I saw the trailer for the film, which looks promising, it looks like it is going to get a very limited release over here, in selected theaters, the week of October 11 to 18 only.

He may look cute here, but he is not happy about this. You can bet he is doing all kinds of phone negotiations to right this wrong.  And he is not above using some muscle to get things done. And when Gojira uses muscle, watch out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is a trailer for "Godzilla Resurgence!"

We love you, Gojira!  You rate more than a week!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let's get going! Or maybe you can campaign for Hillary Clinton!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. That's studio politics at work. At this point, Hollywood considers Toho Studio to be an annoying nuisance they'd prefer to swat out of existence. Staggering amounts of money have been invested in the upcoming Americanized "vs" series of films, starting with the "Skull Island" debacle now currently in reshoots. They don't want any new Toho release to muddy the waters.

As we discussed last year when these projects were first hyped, the producers must have been drunk on absinthe to conceive of something as redundant and idiotic as "Skull Island" (a back story for King Kong? Really? Did anyone ask for this, EVER, even in 1933?) If they were so hell-bent on the dubious "King Kong Vs Godzilla" as THE vehicle to "reboot Gojira" for the umpteenth time, they should have just gone off and made that straightaway. To this day no layman can figure out their bizarre insistence that audiences won't accept "Kong vs Gojira" without seeing a Kong backstory beforehand. As if one has anything to do with the other, unless they force it in the scripts.

  2. There was a King Kong Vs. Godzilla made in 1962 or 3.
My parents took me to see it. Even at that time I was
rooting for Godzilla, and had enough acumen to know
that King Kong looked awful, and how could he have
survived the plung from the Empire State bldg.
    back in 1933.
To do this again is a rotten idea. I hear
    Gojira may sue TOHO!
