Back in the day, whenever the 1959 Japanese monster classic, "Rodan," was aired, these were called "Chi-Chi-Bugs," because that is exactly the sound they make. "Rodan" made it fashionable for one's fan tan home to be invaded by these creatures, who would smash into the living room, sounding away.
Now, today, Dr. Fauci, among others, has taught us the value of science, so these creatures are now called Meganulons. I don't know how many are left, because, in the film, after Rodan hatches out of the egg, the monster is seen eating some of them.
But Japan is a mysterious country. They may be out there; they may even be served chopped up in a salad, or meal.
Which is a problem. Because if the question of what is for dinner gets asked, and the answer is "Meganulon," it is hard to tell if it will be as a guest, or a part of the meal.
Much better served on the big screen, where they belong, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yikes I can barely deal with a cockroach!!
