While Christopher Lee will never trounce Bela Lugosi in Universal's 1931 version, this retelling of "Dracula" solidified the stardom of both Lee and Cushing, as they enacted roles better suited to them than in "The Curse Of Frankenstein."
It also has Valerie Gaunt, who played the slutty Justine in the aforementioned "Curse Of Frankenstein," as the Vampire Woman, here.
I am telling you, the scene where he carries her through the secret passageway--look at that hair, those bosoms, and that diaphanous white gown. Is there any other kind worn by women in horror movies? I don't think so. And, of course, heaving bosoms always help! Baby Gojira will be thrilled.Again, I have never seen "Horror Of Dracula" before, but I have seen Lee play the Count in other films, so I know he can do it. This should be a far better evening than last week. Don't miss the fun Saturday, at 8PM!
And, girls, don't forget to look your best. Like Valerie Gaunt, here!!!!!!!!!!!!
