Nothing fills time following an operation like reading, darlings! But when one is all stitched up, the choice becomes questionable. Hoisting a heavy book like "The Collected Novels Of Colette" could undo some stitches, and then what a mess there would be! Not to mention having to be re-stitched.
Also avoid "War And Peace," "Anna Karenina," "The Brothers Karamazov;" even "Gone With The Wind."
Always choose shorter, but substantial books for post-op.
And nothing like Nora Roberts, or Jennifer Weiner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no heavy lifting OR side-splitting laughter!!!
ReplyDeleteI’m actually looking to read or re-read something FUNNY for a change; any suggestions??
Victoria,
ReplyDeleteI'm weak on funny, I don't read much to make me laugh.
There used to be writers like Jean Kerr--remember "Please Don't Eat The Daisies?"
