Today Is The Day Proserpina Goes Back To Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, darlings, it is the first day of Autumn.  Some think it is tomorrow, but I was taught it was the 21st.  Tomorrow is a tragic anniversary, which I will post tomorrow.

Last night, we felt the crispness of the season in the air, and I, for one, welcomed it. While it was a pretty mild Summer--some say the mildest since 2012--I look forward to cooler weather and cozier reading days.  Plus, the Fall cultural scene--books, movies, and plays.  I hopefully anticipate surprise gems.

Nevertheless, Proserpina is packed and off to Hell.  Which is why the leaves turn and wither, the weather gets colder, the night comes sooner, and the snow lays on the ground.  If MacDonald Carey were here right now, he would talk about the "Days Of Our Lives."

I still have plenty of life to live, girls!  So, happy First Day Of Autumn.  We will miss you Proserpina but look forward to seeing you in six months.

And I pray for a less brutal Winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Victoria, I agree. Which is why, much as I love New Orleans, I could not live there 24/7. And forget Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
