Who Would Have Thought This Film Housed A Mystery???????????

The things we learn, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!  I have just discovered that there is a rumor floating around out there--which has never been approved satisfactorily--that Richard Burton appeared, uncredited, in an important scene of "Doctor Zhivago," a film known and beloved to all MY girls, I am sure!!!!!!!!!!

The scene is one many will remember. It occurs after Lara (Julie Christie, stunning, in her signature role!!!!!!!!!!) confesses to a priest, after her initial indiscretion with Komarovksy,  (Rod Steiger)   then still her mother's lover.  The priest is heavily made up, but, I am telling you, having seen this film at least a dozen times, I have never connected Richard Burton to this scene at any time I viewed it.

I think this is one of those film urban legends that sprout up--like the dead Munchkin seen hanged at one point in "The Wizard Of Oz!!!!!!!!!" Nonsense!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Burton had appeared in this film, it would have gotten out and been known, well before this time.  Those who subscribe to this, without proof, are obviously indulging too much in vodka!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Should any one out there be able to offer concrete proof this is true, feel free to comment on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Besides, back then, girls, we had other things on our minds--we all wanted to look like Julie Christie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
