This Is Your Last Chance, This Week, To See Celia And Company!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As I discovered, with "A Chorus Line," "Cats," and "The Fantasticks," nothing on stage runs forever.  Next Sunday, the 23rd, is the final performance of this generation's definitive production of Tennessee Williams' "The Glass Menagerie," with the most stunning staging and ensemble seen in many a long time, and, of course, Celia Keenan-Bolger in her life  altering performance as Laura.

If you have not caught Celia and Company yet, you better scramble, because this will be the week when last minute stragglers will make the journey, meaning tickets this week will be pretty much sold out.

Just look at this photo, darlings!  I know Cherry Jones and Zachary Quinto are at center, but the person the eye focuses on, is Celia.  First, there is that pink dress, but second, look at that internalization!!!!!!!!!!  What is she doing?  What is she thinking?  This is part of the brilliance of Celia's Laura; it is more than a physical performance, she does things, almost without realization, that takes us inside the mind of  Laura.

You will never see anything like this again in our time, darlings!  So, I urge you to hasten to the Booth and catch these actors while you can.  Each will go on to do good, substantial work, but "The Glass Menagerie" will definitely be a benchmark chapter in each these actors' lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                  Love to you, Celia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
