What An Emtertaining Afternoon, Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Such a shame we did not have time for tea at the St. Regis, considering we were on Manhattan's Upper East Side, and how seldom we are actually there. But we had to scramble, to catch the 3PM performance of the latest Charles Busch play, "The Tribute Artist."
While not nearly as entertaining or inspirational as "The Divine Sister," it was diversionary enough for the afternoon. The wonderful Julie Halston again nailed her comic moments every time. My favorite Busch bit was his rendering of Bette Davis' "A kind of beauty" speech from "Now, Voyager!!!!!!!!!!" All gay men are Tina, I am telling you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The set, a replica of a West Village townhouse--the kind you and I might fantasize about buying but wouldn't see the inside of, unless we were hired workers, and do you think I am going to break my nails for that???????? It really was eye catching; so much so I could people, as they walked into the auditorium, about it, as they caught it, on first sight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Camp, laughs, and Sunday afternoon diversion! The perfect Theater Queen antidote to the Super Bowl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But I promise a visit to the St. Regis, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
