Can You Believe, Girls, That After Today, One Fourth Of The Year Is Over???????????????????
That is right, darlings! Some may say the roughest part, but then, we still have April, and, if you know your T.S. Eliot, and "The Waste Land," "April is the cruelest month, breeding lilacs out of the dead lands, mixing memory and desire." An emotionally charged month, for my family, I can tell you!
But let us congratulate ourselves on having made it through March. We survived Winter, Spring came, and as each month gets warmer, the promise of Hope grows stronger. Until September, when Proserpina goes back to Hell. But we have a long time, till then!
Of course, April brings Easter, and, with it, the annual screening of "The Song Of Bernadette." Can you believe it is almost that time, girls????????????/
Capped off, at month's end, by my father's--get this--99th--that's right, 99th, birthday!!!!!!!!!!!
So long, March! We made it through! Here is to a great April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
