Zoe Saldana As Nina Simone????????????? Sweeties, You've Got To Be Kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guess Zoe Saldana is destined to be the Queen Of Miscasting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nina Simone was a superb vocal stylist, pianist, songwriter, arranger, and political activist.  Zoe Saldana is a rotten actress.  Especially if you saw in that abomination of a remake of "Rosemary's Baby."  That project has been, mercifully and deservedly, forgotten, and, hopefully, all the negatives have been destroyed.  If I were an actor in it, even if just an extra, I would not put it on my resume.

And it's not like Rosemary was that demanding a role.  Not when compared to playing Nina Simone!!!!!!!  So--don't you just love the logic here, darlings???????--the producers who need an actress for this more demanding role cast the worst actress out there for it!!!!!!!!!!!  I mean, what gives?????????
Hasn't anyone outside of the New York Metropolitan Area ever heard of Audra McDonald??????????  Does this mean--oh, God!!!!--we are going to see Zoe if "Lady Day At Emerson's Bar And Grill" is filmed??????????
Even Diana Ross, at the age she is now, would be better than Zoe Saldana!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Either she must have a great agent, or he, or someone, is getting great head!  Sometimes that casting couch works--how many know that story about Anatole Litvak going down on Paulette Goddard under the table at Chasen's??????????   At least, Paulette had some genuine talent; remember, girls, if Vivien Hadn't shone up in the nick of time, it might have been Paulette as Scarlett!!!!!!!!!!  And how about her brilliant work with Chaplin in "Modern Times" and "The Great Dictator," not to mention her Oscar nominated performance in "So Proudly We Hail???????????"

Zoe will never see an Oscar nod; the only thing she can score right now is booty on Sunset Strip, which is where, ten years from now, when her career is dried up, she will lining up for cars with the other girls who thought they were going somewhere, at one time!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Remember what Dionne Warwick said about "all those stars who never were?"  And she should know, dolls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I don't have much hope for Zoe.  Except to say that if this project tanks, and then another, she will be off the track, for good!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          I cannot wait, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
