"Mother Of Mercy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Could This Be The Summer Of No Culture????????????????"

                                            Thank God for my literary projects, darlings, though I don't want readers to think of this as strictly a literary forum.  But the unfortunate truth is, there has not been enough out there this Summer to keep us Culture Vultures buzzing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                              No one can get near enough to get a ticket to Bette in "Hello, Dolly!" or "Dear Evan Hansen."  The idea of watching Phylicia Rashad playing what has got to be the oldest Titania on record in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is something I would rather not watch.  When one's hope holdout is "Annabelle:Creation," centering on a sick, evil doll, which cannot be anything but the kind of guilty pleasure trash I crave, then it is time to call this a No Culture Summer.

                                             Darlings, I am telling you, in this cultural climate, the distribution company (whomever it was) could re-issue Jack Wrangler in "The Flying Cocksuckers," and market it as an art film!  As Neely said, "Art films?  Nudies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

                                              Guess we have to hang on till the Fall, girls!  I hope!
