Two Musical Birthdays!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                             Yesterday, girls, was the birthday of Joan Baez!  Happy Birthday, Joan; still out there performing with a remarkable voice, at 77.  Which means I still have a chance to see her live.

                               On this belated birthday of Joan, I can think of only one song to listen to--my favorite, the haunting, if long, "House Carpenter."  Here it is!  Enjoy, and be moved!



                                                                               

                                              

                                  During the course of the past year, I discovered that David and I were married on the 50th birthday of one of my theatrical faves--Trini Alvarado!  Happy Birthday, Trini; I never looked that good at 51!

                                  This year also marks the 40th Anniversary that many of us Theater Queens were first introduced to Trini, in Elizabeth Swados' "Runaways."  As Melinda, and an Original Cast Member, Trini blew everyone off the stage with her haunting juxtaposition of innocence and sultriness in her song, "Lullaby From Baby To Baby."

                                      That moment has been preserved on here.  So, to honor Trini on her day, here she is, a total pro, at 11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
