The Episode Should Have Been Called "A Story Of Moore Woe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

                              This is because the story centered on the tragedy of the Moore sisters--Britney and Laura--and the horror they were swept into.

                              As usual, the episode was not as powerful as it might have been.  But it did have an important message to convey.  Not all sexual predators are blowsy, middle-aged men.  Alex Kramer's chilling performance as Greg Callahan, whose callow youthfulness made him seem a do-gooder was a reminder that wolves wear all kinds of sheep's clothing.  He had some sick thing for the more childish Laura, and wanted to adopt both girls, and have them live wit him--uh huh!!!!!--though it was never explained what Alex did to support himself, if he even did, or, if he was an age to adopt the girls, even if his intentions were legitimate, which they were not.

                                And Susan Bard, played by Arielle Yoder, has to be the dumbest beard in history.  Was she going to act as a mother to these girls?  Didn't she get what Alex was, that he only wanted her along for the ride, because he lusted after Laura??????????????????

                                 No, Alex is the worst kind of predator, the kind least suspected, and able to manipulate.  It was he who manipulated Britney, at 16, that her father, Douglas Moore, was abusing her sister, Laura, 13.   Britney came to be convinced of this, and, in a mistaken sense of protecting her sister, murdered her own father, stabbing him to death.  A crime that was not necessary.

                                 The episode is watching for the diner scene. Zoe Colleti, as Brtiney Moore, gives a brilliantly understated performance throughout, but the moment when she lashes out at Greg, stabbing him in the cheek with a knife, was just what he deserved.  Of course, Olivia comes to her rescue, but I liked Finn's remark to Greg, "She should have killed you."  Yes, she should have, and she should not have been charged, because, after all the sisters went through, this would have been justifiable homicide.

                                Of course, I was happy for Rollins and the birth of Baby Billie, but the ending was just TOO precious, darlings!  Better to end with that dumb beard Susan, sitting in a dive bar, drinking, and wondering what is wrong with her.

                                  Oh, and before things got rolling, it was learned that the girls' mother had committed suicide.  That should have been explored more.

                                   Better than most for 'SVU', which, these days, is high praise.

                                    But the glory days are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
