Girls, Wait Till You Hear This! Celia Is Going To Host The First "Fleet Week Follies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Fleet Week, this year, is May 22-26.  All my girls, and I know, some of you guys love it.  I know I love to see those sailors!  Anchors Aweigh!   And everyone do your patriotic duty by bringing home a sailor for a home cooked meal!  Let desert take care of itself!

An organization entitled Waterwell is hosting a day of food, fun, festivities, and family events at Brooklyn's National Sawdust music venue.

The event will take place on May 26, and the evening will be the highlight.  There will be children's events from 1 to 4PM,  a Happy Hour, courtesy of 14th Street Brewing, and, then, in the evening, some musical events, hosted by Celia Keenan-Bolger, and Andrew Rannells.

Headliners are to be announced, but, as far as I am concerned, Celia is the headline, and I think we should do our best to get down there, and see her.

But since it is primarily for military personnel and their families--and is free!--civilians are either not invited or will have to pay!

It is Celia, darling!  And she is worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is the perfect musical feature to end this post. Jack Haley (three years before "The Wizard Of Oz"), Shirley Temple, and Alice Faye in "I Love A Military Man."  The film is Temple's "Poor Little Rich Girl," from 1936.  Forgive the colorization; it was all I could find. How awful to bastardize these beautiful black and white films!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But come and see Celia, in person and in color!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
