"Karen's Always In A Whirl.........................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

On October 5, 1964, when television was actually fun to watch, during my childhood years.  NBC introduced a new concept in television--a conceptual sitcom called "90 Bristol Court."  It was divided into three half hour shows, each centering on a different apartment within the complex.  The first one, which aired at 7:30, so I could stay up and watch it, was called "Karen" and starred Debbie Watson, with Gina Gillespie,  as Mimi, the tomboy sister of Karen, as well as the real life sister of destined convicted felon, ex-Mouseketeer Darlene Gillespie, and who played the child Blanche Hudson, in the opening sequence of "What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?," wherein she delivered the line that became my mantra, "I won't forget!  You BET I won't forget!"

The second show was called "Harris Against The World," wherein an actor I did not know yet--Jack Klugman--played a Hollywood Agent.  The third was called "Tom, Dick, and Mary," about a married couple (Don Galloway, as Tom, a doctor, and Joyce Bulifant, as his wife, Mary, a medical secretary.  Steve Franken played Tom's annoying friend, Dick, whom they took in to supplement their rent, and who turns out to be an annoying womanizer.

This was long before the name Karen became associated with Entitled Female Bitchery.  You know, the kind you just want to walk up to, and say, "Bitch, shut the fuck up!"

Well, dolls, I am here to report that there are more of them out there than might be, at first, thought.  Sure, when one is in full Karen mode, she is easily recognizable, but, I am telling you, weekends on the avenue in my neighborhood, I see so many Karens.  And it is not just the trashiness of their dress and hair.  It is obvious, from the look on their faces, and their demeanor, that they are just itching for a fight.  I would love to walk up to one of them, and smack them across the face--but, of course, that is what they want, so irritate them further by not giving in.  Of course, if you should attacked by one, all bets are off.

Beware the Karens--just because you have managed to avoid them, does not mean they are out there.

And to all Karens, who may be reading this--

Bitches, shut the fuck up, and go make me a sandwich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
