Just One Day After Cloris Leachman......Cicely Tyson????????????????????????

That is right,  darlings, it was almost too much to bear.

Cicely Tyson was not  just an actress, but a symbol.  The work that she chose always had integrity--like "Sounder," "The Autobiography Of Miss Jane  Pittman,"  and  "The Help," among others--and so did she.

How gifted  was she? She did not need a script.  She acted as much with her face as with words.

On  January 29, Miss Tyson  took her final  bow on  Earth, at 96, after netting an Emmy and TONY Awward, as well as garnering an Oscar nomination, for "Sounder."  I loved  Liza in "Cabaret," but,  to  this day,  I  thought Tyson should have won.

An arts advocate,  humanitarian,  and trailblazer for other actresses of  color, Cicely Tyson was gracious and self-effacing.  Her work  and  humanity will  live on.

Let us all bid her a fond farewell.

                                               But never to be forgotten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
