Now, This Was An Exciting Episode!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Who can resist Jane in blue, darlings?  Especially, when it is Angie Harmon, with all that lovely hair?  And I loved Maura's pastel paisley dress she wore.

As if this were not enough, last night's "Rizzoli And Isles," entitled "Food For Thought," featured Lorraine making scrambled eggs for Jane, and testing out wedding cake styles for Tommy and Lydia.  And wait till you hear about Maura and Frankie.

The episode might as well have been entitled "All About Steve."  The whole thing boiled down to the winner of a TV chef contest being murdered by his competitor. There were underlying motivations--the runner-up and the assistant, who worked for the chef on his show and food truck, did all the real work, because the chef's olfactory nerves, from which taste is derived, had been severed in a car accident.  Contrived?  A bit, though I was kept guessing as to who the killer is.  Though the show did run true to form, in retrospect--a minor character whom one keeps seeing hanging around turns out to be the killer.

But with all the rest going on, they had me stumped. Speaking of underlying motivations, how about the welcome return of Hope, (the glamorous Sharon Lawrence) who wants to make peace with her biological daughter, Maura?  As Mama Angela herself said, "it was very touching."

And how about Maura and Frankie? That contrived terrorist subplot, where a batch of coffee Maura had ordered, was, at one point, thought to be a bomb, and Frankie and Maura had to hold on to dear life, to save others, while risking annihilation themselves???????  You could obviously see the sparks flying with Frankie, but I actually caught a few from Maura!!!!!!!!!!!!   I mean, he is Jane's brother. Isn't the whole thing a little....incestuous?????  Or, at least, like the Wilkes and Hamiltons.

I am telling you, if Maura and Frankie go the romantic route, I want to see Frankie clean up his act. Quit acting so dumb, and get rid of that hair style, which does nothing for him except make him look like someone trying to act like an overage teenager. Even his brother, Tommy, can't get through to him, but maybe Maura can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All in all, an exciting show girls, with an excellent blend of both criminal and personal drama.

Don't miss the Season Finale next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
