"Oh, Prooooooooooomise Me, That Sooooooooooooooome Day You'll Be True!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

There was no Sylvia Weinstock cake, darlings and I was very disappointed not to see Mark in a wedding gown, but the Bridal Reception, held at Turkish Kitchen on East 29th Street, was a stunning success.

Our seatmates were this charming Brooklyn couple, by way of L.A.,  Tom and Laurie, and let me tell you, how refreshing it was to meet a female , California writer, without a Joan Didion sensibility.  Thank God!  The conversation was very artistic, the Turkish food delicious, and a good time was had by all.

The Happy Couple seemed...happy!  Kiss, kiss, hons!!!!!!!!!  But, Mark, really you should have been fitted for a gown!

As for the entertainment, we had a lovely woman, I think from Frank's workplace, sing, and that was the best moment.  The other, which was straight out of a bad outtake from "Broadway Danny Rose," was this mentalist, whose act failed due as much to his delivery as to the layout of the place, which did not make for a great staging scheme.  A long, narrow space, with audience at separate ends of the room, is not the venue for an act requiring a degree of intimacy.

I think all of us heaved a collective sigh, when the act was over!  But the reception was lovely, and it was even more lovely to be invited!  It was Frank and Mark's finest moment, and I salute them both!

But wait till you girls see how I get it right!
