What A Masterwork, Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After my crushing disappointment with "The Thousand Autumns Of Jacob de Zoet," I was a little hesitant to take up the latest David Mitchell. My only word to you, dolls, is--don't make the mistake of missing this one, which is on a par with "Cloud Atlas." Mr, Mitchell is back to his non-linear ways, weaving times, dimensions, characters and the bodies they inhabit, in a deft blend of extremely modernist fiction that had me absorbed. I never wanted to put his one down.
Keep you eye on Holly Sykes. She is one for the ages!!!!!!!!!!! And the prose style is absorbing, offering up a fascinating literary ride, best enjoyed if one does not try and make sense of things while reading them. Just go with the flow. And when the end comes, it all comes together.
Now, I am looking forward to the next David Mitchell!!!!!!!!!!!!! As will you be, darlings, when you finish this!
But don't miss "The Bone Clocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
What a rich reading year 2015 is turning out to be! So far, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
