Happy Birthday, Blythe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, darlings, today is the Jubilee birthday of Blythe Danner, who, being 75 today, looks as good as I wish I did, now!
When Queen Victoria celebrated her Jubilee, the great chef, Escoffier, created the desert we know today as Cherries Jubilee. I cannot think of a better way to celebrate the birthday of Blythe Danner than getting out those chafing dishes, and lighting them!
I wish Blythe the birthday of her dreams!
And dream we all look as good as she!
Happy Birthday, Blythe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Blythe is The Best.
ReplyDeleteToo bad about Gwyneth.
I'm starting to think tolerating the insufferable Gwyneth is the price we must pay to enjoy Blythe's extended (and splendid) prime of life. Perhaps Gwyneth is Blythe's "Picture Of Dorian Gray"?
ReplyDeleteHow else to explain Gwyneth's continual ability to evade prosecution for obvious outright fraud? Last week was what, the THIRD annual "Goop" convention plagued by Better Business Bureau and FDA investigations? What a noxious trifecta our Gwyneth achieved: irritatingly entitled and affected personality, inexplicable ability to influence, corrupt and exploit the minds of bored desperate women for financial gain, and dangerous habit of getting massive publicity for dubious health practices like lemon water fasting and gold dust high colonics.
I get that Blythe is a fiercely protective mama bear, and its only natural that she loves her own offspring, but her reflexive jumping to defend this dipshit makes her seem as much of a dupe as Gwyneth's following "Kathy" comic fans.
ReplyDeleteVictoria,
You are so right.
And it is too bad about
Gwyneth. I wonder what
went wrong!
ReplyDeleteGwyneth is no health diva,
except in her own mind. I
think she knows she cannot
top her mother, and this is
how she deals with it. But
her sense of entitlement is
right with the times. Go
ride the subway, and you will
see plenty of it.
If Gwyneth is Blythe's picture of
Dorian Grey, then Blythe needs, if
not to keep her in the closet, tell
her to tone down her act!
Want to bet she has, but the pleas
fall on deaf ears?
