This 1957 film, which I have never seen, was also referenced throughout my childhood in "Famous Monsters Of Filmland Magazine." Our entire household is excited over the broadcasting of this known but seldom seen film.
I have a feeling it will be one of those movies where the poster turns out to be better than the actual product. The cast is everyone who went nowhere. And the prehistoric monster special effects are pretty cheesy. Like advanced, artistically inclined children's, Play Doh models!!!!!!!!!
I am telling you, the special effects in 1925's "The Lost World," and 1933's "King Kong" were better than here. I will have you know Gojira was offered a look at the script and threw it across the room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Like I said, girls! Nothing to write home about! But it should be an evening of campy fun!See you tonight at eight, dolls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BG should have thrown it into the Ocean lol
ReplyDeleteVictoria,
ReplyDeleteYes, he should have. According to
Svengoolie himself, they kept cutting the
budget so much, the original director, Jack
Arnold, quit.
