The first thing I absorbed from these shows, darlings, was the impotence of coffee In almost every scene set in a living room or office, coffee was always served and consumed. So, I learned the importance of always having coffee at hand, and today I always make sure I do
It was not until I reached age 18 and saw Nancy Kelly in the 1956 film "The Bad Seed" that I learned her contribution to the importance of coffee.
In all these presentations, the wardrobe was always impeccable, and the hair was perfect. Even with Nancy at her most histrionic, there was not a thread or hair out of place.
Today, coffee has become as important to my life as "The Bad Seed." Soap operas have had their day. But if I don't have coffee first thing in the morning, well, darlings, then I am a total bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, not really. But Baby Gojira knows to get that hot cup into my hands fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank God I am not dealing with a homicidal child. I would need Double Espresso for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe that is what Nancy drank off screen to heighten her on screen hysteria!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
