This weekend is an important one in Baby Boomer History. Can you believe it is the 46th Anniversary of Woodstock? Now, I wasn't there; I only made it as far as the Jersey Turnpike, but I know many who were there, including a classmate from my HP days--Betsy Trebat. The legend says she was there; remembering her as I do, I would not be a bit surprised!
Now, the image you see came to be the event's iconic symbol--for the album cover, the documentary poster; everything about Woodstock, in general. From time to time, I always wondered who these two were, and if they are still alive.
Well, you know what, darlings????? They are! Not only that, they have been married for nearly 40 years. They are Nick and Bobbi Ercoline, and both are now in their late sixties!!!!
Living now in the town of Pine Bush, New York, Nick works for the Department of Housing, in Orange County, while Bobbi is the resident elementary school nurse, in their town.
To think, Free Love turned to Real Love! Here is the happily married couple today!
And, for all you ex- Woodstockers, or Woodstock wannabes, here is Grace (Slick) doing "white Rabbit," the morning of August 17, 1969!!!!!!!!!!!!
" Half a million strong," darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
