Girls, we all know lawyers and polticians, like corporation assholes, who helm the capitalist strings that unforutnately run America, are bottom feecders and scum. But our winner this week takes being such to new heights. The winner of this week's Raving Queen Bitch Of The Week Award is Carl Paladino!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let's start with the externals. The man may be Italian, but, God, is he ugly!!!!!! The sort who looks like he never bathes, probably has ear and nose hairs that need to be shaved, and is capable of giving a political speech on podium with undsiguised boogers hanging from his notril. Of course he is a Republican and Tea Partyer, which expalins why he knows so little about appearance; just like his female counterparts, who, while looking more presenatble, dress pretty much the same way, suggesting a classic Ira Levin Stepford Wife.
It is disgraceful that the man is a Baby Boomer--he was born in 1946, the year that boom began, and while its members are beginning to wind down into late middle and eventually old age, they have managed to demonstrate as I have said for nearly a quarter century that they were never adaquetly prepared for the adulthood they were raised for, or, rather, they were raised for an adulthood of entitlement, got something else, and still can't deal with it. (Of course there are exceptions like Jonathan Franzen, and thank God for him!) So that Paladino espouses opporutnisitc Amwerican greed and racism comes as no surprise; nor does his incipient homophobia, which is more glaring coming on the heels of the Tyler Clementi tragedy, and bringing his openly gay nephew into things, with said nephew at least having the guts to get pissed off at his uncle.
As a gay nephew myself, I know what it is to be treated homophobically by an uncle, which I have recounted on here, and which I will not forgive or forget anyone for, even after 32 years. I never got to get pissed off at him, though that I believe was done more wisely by my fathr, who tempered his words with justice, whereas mine would have been peppered with malice and vitriol. And at least one of his heirs had better watch their step where I and others in MY family are cncertned, because, darlings, I am capable of ripping the lid off things that will make "The Little Foxes" look like a situation comedy.
So I cannot think of a better choice this week for our current BOTW than Carl Paladino. Drink a glass of Montepuliciano for me, then toss the other in his face!!!!!!!!! He's got enough egg on it already to hang him politically; but, of course, if he wins, America is in worse shape than I thought it was.
Gettting back to "The Little Foxes" for a moment, which ties in so well with bitches, I am seeing the New York Theater Workshop production Saturday night. The video excerpts are intriguing, and the bitchiness and viciousness that you know we all LOVE, girls, is there, but the text has been substantially tampered with--a three act play reduced to one. Certain things have GOT to happen in TLF for it to work, no matter how you interpret it--Horace must die on the stairs, Biridie must have her breakdown, and Alexandra must tell off Regina. These are the play's central pieces and if you omit even one you do not have "The Little Foxes." You can bet if performed unsatisfactorily, this little fox will be outraged. Again, only time will tell!!!!!!
So congrats to our Bitch Of The Week, and looking forward to an even bigger group of bitches on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Toodles, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darlings, With My New, Fluffy White Curtains, I Feel Like Nancy Kelly in "The Bad Seed!!!!!!!!!"
Girls, my new fluffy white curtains are as beautiful as Aunt Cordelia's in "Miss Sniff!" I am telling you, what a difference decor can make. Who knows what else is possible--maybe a pitcher of Margaritas, or maybe the NTW "Little Foxes" will turn out to be something.
That is the challenge facing me, lambs. I just cannot decide if I should see "The Little Foxes." I mean, I love it, girls, and you know actors love playing bitches and audiences love watching them. I have done both, honey, so I know. But, I mean, modern dress? Birdie dressed in red? Showing her getting punched in the stomach? What is the point of this? Sure, it is a big fuck you to capitalism, but Mamet did it with just four letter words in "Glengarry Glen Ross." For all I admit I am intrigued, my loyalty to Lillian Hellman is steadfast. Talk about this year's fashions, and conscience!!!!!!! And don't forget, Lincoln Center did a very traditional "Little Foxes" 13 years ago that turned out to be disappointing.
What will i do, girls???????? Only time will tell, so stay tuned on here to see if the the 'Foxes' are foxy or not!!!!!!!!!!
The tears don't stop for Tyler Clementi. The latest is that supposedly perpetrator Molly Wei is said to be expressing remorse for her participation in the incident. Oh, yeah? Three weeks later???? Too little, too late, hon; no "Flower Drum Song" for this lotus bitch, go rot in the gutter, you tramp! Meanwhile, not a peep has been heard from the heinous Mr. Ravi, who has not even expressed the faux remorse of his co-perp. Darlings, where was this remorse when Tyler needed it??????
Where was it when you wouldn't face the family???????? The blood of this innocent young man is still crying out from the ground for retribution, because I hear these cries every day in his wake. And I will not rest until these cries are appeased.
And it starts, darlings, with the walk across the bridge on Saturday. Meanwhile, what am I supposed to do about Friday?? It is going to rain, I am supposed to go to the Cloisters, I have a doctor appt, I have to meet David, there is just too much for me to contend with at this time. The results could be as intersting and as drama hued as "The Little Foxes!!!!!!!!"
Honestly, just what is a girl to do??? With all that is going on, and having to maintain my visual and facial glamour; you know how hard it is getting to do? What with Halloween and another birthday looming on the horizon????? Just remember, as long as we look good, girls, we can hold our heads high, like Lana Turner when she walked down the street in "They Won't Forget."
Don't forget our date on the GWB Satuday, girls! Be there at your loveliest!!!!!!!!

Darlings, Today Is A Doubly Iconic Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Girls, before we get to the issues at hand, cited in the subject bar of this blog engtry, let me fill you in on the weekend, which was a blur of frenzy and social activity. Honey, I am telling you, I am EMOTIONALLY exhausted!!!!!!!!!!
It started out Friday eve, with a romantic dinner with Monsieur Davide at Cafe Cluny, with the most tender and succulent roast chicken I have ever been served. As tender as ME, darlings!!!!!!! The wine flowed, and I was very high sprited and vicacious. That's right, lambs--HIGH SPIRITED AND VIVACIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saturday found me rendering service to others, while Monsieur Davide went galanvatning at a party on that potential slag heap and dumping ground for EVIL lesbians, known as Staten Island!!!!!!!!!! While yours truly curled my hair, and curled up in a chair with "The House OF Mirth" by Edith Wharton, and Patti LuPone's "Memoir." Girls, you just wouldn't believe it!!!!!!!!!! Finally, Mossieur walked in, and we settled down for a much needed nap.
Sunday, darlings, found me SO emotionally exhausted, I could barely get out of bed, and just sat watching the "Law And Order Marathon." I can't even remember if we drank coffee out of the Nancy Kelly coffee pot. I DO know that languoured in bed, because I was feeling like Helen Hayes as Catherine in the final scene of "A Farewell To Arms," where she dies in Gary Cooper's arms, while seeing doves, and he carries her corpse to the window!!!!!!!! Darlings, thank God for make-up!!!!!!!!!!!
And then, with yesterday being Columbus Day, we traipsed out to Queens, where amid much back breaking labor, like Suellen forced by Scarlett to work the fields at Tara, I discovered how much space I actually have in my place, not to mention my 'Bernadette' poster is adorning the wall. Honey, I am telling you, it looks FABULOUS. Then we hit Manducatis--with their scrumptious cauliflower pasta, tomatoes and mushroom, more wine, and a fabulous cheesecake. I meam, I felt just like one of the Golden Girls, which we watched last night. To think of the discoeries we made on the day Columbus discovered America.
Actually, darilings, today is what the schools and teachers in MY day taught us was Columbus day. But you know what I think of the schools and teachers from MY day, so enough said there. What is more important, especially in light of recent events, is that today is the 12th anniversary of Matthew Shepard's death, a benchmark event in LGBT history, bookended by a more recent tragedy--the death by suicide of lovely Tyler Clemente three weeks before, which leads me to wonder if anything was ever learnt in the face of Matthew Shepard's tragedy???? And to think I read an article today saying "What Is Wrong With Remmembering Tyler Clementi For LGBT Bullying?" Well, duh, nothing, except it is a crying shame that THIS is what he will be remembered for, and become a symbol of. NOT that he does not deserve to be honored, but I would much rathter have honored Tyler the future violinist, who might very well have achieved fame that way, instead of in a manner I am sure he never expected or wanted to. So now we have Matthew and Tyler as iconic boookends forever, while, with the other youth deaths last month, this is already being called America's Sad September. Which it is. But on Saturday, when we all take that walk in honor of Tyler, I want to hear love and joy for Tyler, the kind that he would have recieved had he stuck around, and that can be given now!!!!!!!!!!!! Now, I know it is early on Saturday mornings, girls, but thank God for make-up. There is no excuse NOT to go, and not to look your best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darlings, It Is Rose's Turn, And I Am Not Talking About "Gypsy"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Girls, this is just in, at least as of last night, when I first heard about it. Next Saturday, there will be a comemorative ceremony honoring sweet Tyler Clementi. The plan calls for paritcipants to meet at 9am on the Jersey side of the George Washington Bridge, then walk to where Tyler.....when there will be prayer, meditation, and then participants will throw a rose each into the river. You had better believe I am going to be there, loves, and I want every one of my girls to be there, too. I know we have to get up early, but think of it as a set call, darlings, so I want all your hair and makeup in place. You know mine will be, for sure!!!!!!!
One wonders if the Clementi family will attend. You can bet Darvi and Wei won't, because I am sure if spotted, someone would toss them into the river. Which would not bring Tyler back, so let us honor this peace loving lad in a peace loving way. You hear me, girls!!!!!!! This is not the time to play Velma Vigilante. Not yet, at least. See you there next Saturday. Be there, or be square. And I will be talking more about this as the week goes on, to be sure!!!!!!!!!!
And, darlings, can you believe the double header last night, on "Law And Order SVU?" First, "Alien," from season 7, around 2006, which should have been entitled "The Kids Are NOT All Right!" Little Sean Hamill is stabbed in the spine, rendering him paralyzed from the waist down, for life. Turns out he was tormenting his classmate, Emma Boyd, because she is being raised by two lesbians, and little Emma could not take it anymore, and stabbed him!!!! I am telling you, Raquel Cutro, who played Emma, was the sweetest little thing, but you don't you dare turn your back on her. Then you had Mary Beth Piel, looking like she was going to play Baby Jane Hudson, as the bitch grandmother who played every card in the book, from child moslestation allegations, to testifying against her own lawyer. I am telling you, I would not take any cookies baked by this granny. The whole thing was a lose-lose situation, with the children losing most of all--Emma's biological mother dies, Zoe takes her, but forbids the grandparents to ever see her again, and Sean is paralyzed for life. Why couldn't it have ended with everyone sipping tea at the St. Regis.
But if you thought this WAS something, you should have caught "Manipulated," also from the same season and year. Lawyer Vicky Riggs is found raped and murdered in her apartment, and there are a whole linoe of sucpects, including her ex-fiance who dumped her, when he found Vicki was making money on the side pole dancing at a club called (wink wink) Foreplay. Now, girls, we have all seen "Showgirls," and some of us at one time have wanted to be such, or maybe even "Showboys", but after taking the LSAT's , graduating law school and taking the bar to work in a top firm, headed in this case by Rebecca De Mornary as Tess McKellen, head of a top ranking law firm (even if she DID inherit it and the house from Daddy!!!!) and, though in a wheelchair from an accident in a car that rendered her paralyzed from the waist down (must have been the evening's theme!!!!!!!) looks pretty damn good, 13 years past playing Petyon Flanders. Hell, she proved she could still play Peyton, for Tess turns out to be a calculating bitch who not only set up the murders by a contractee to frame her cheating husband, she suffers from Munschauser's, and is not sick at all, or more likely, so sick that she willingly injuect viral germs into her system to pretend she is ill. How sick is that, girls!!!!! All for some atttention???? She was doing better in the panty scene in "Risky Business!" And this is coming from a gay man, girls!!!!!!!! But the best scene was when her husband finds out the truth, and pushes this bitch into their indoor pool, where she swims to safety and a prison conviction, with wet, hair, but damn if she still does not look good!!!!
A word about hair. Poor Emma Boyd in the other episode suffers the indignity of Sean cutting off her beautiful hair, making her look like a child bull dyke. Now, pay attention here, because this is why lesbians should not raise children. Zoe did absoulutely bothing about Emma's abominable hair style. Sure, her partner was dying in the hospital, but I can assre you, if this had happended to the child of two gay male parents, she would have been taken to Elizabeth Arden for a makeover immediately!!!!! Hell, if she had been MY daughter, I would have callled Anna and Grace, and seen what they could do. It demonstrates that even though these were nice, straighforward, lipstick lesbians, unlike the evil kind that creep out of their coffins on Saturday nights, making armadillos scatter, and crawling their way to Henrietta Hudson like the carnivorous, obese vampires they are, it takes gay men to realize how important is a child's need for fasfhion sense. No wonder Emma was picked on!!!!!!!!!
Speaking of such, can you now believe, that Molly Wei, the female instigator of Tyler Clementi's death, is crying poor mouth, because she is so upset that she is being attacked??? OH, POOR BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who attacked whom, first, bitch??????????? Remember, if you had not invaded Tyler's privacy he would still be enjoying suburban obsucurity as a college student, making the discoveries of HIS OWN he is ENTITLED to make, rather than doing what he did, with the ensuing results. And now YOU want to complain about being attacked. You gooddamn witch, you should have thought of all this before you and Mr. Ravi acted. You KNEW Tyler was shy, you KNEW he was in a fragile set, and yet the two of you went ahead. Well, I am here to grab my testicles, like the two lesbians in Manatus awhile back to say to each of you "I hope you DRINK yourself to death!" "I hope you GROPE yourself to death!"
Justice For Tyler, loves. And it starts with honoring him next Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darlings, What Is this All About???????????
Girls, hardly we have had time to settle down from the Tyler Clementi incident and the subsequent drama that will follow, when, in one our own NYC so-called gay neighborhoods, Greenwich Village, and at an iconic locale, the Stonewall Inn, someone has been attacked.
What gives, you bitches? At some point on Sunday, a patron walked into the bar. He had a drink, and needed to use the Men's Room; and, sweeties, he was NOT looking for action. Have you seen what goes in there, lately??? Hell, you wouldn't hire them to move your furniture, let alone provide action.
So the guy goes in, needing to use the room for what it is actually for. Two guys in there ask him for money. "Yeah, sure; go walk the street, bitch!" is what I would have told them. The patron did refuse, and for that he gets beaten, pummeled, shoved into the stall, managing to extricate himself enough, bloodied and bruised, to make it out of the room alive, into the bar, calling for help, with the two close at his heels, only running out like the cowards they are. But, lambs, I have to hand it to the Stonewall crowd; don't mess with us in our hangouts, because the patrons went after these pieces of garbage, apprehended them, and turned them over to the cops!!!!!!!!! All I can say is two things--I wish Tyler Clementi was alive to hear this story and/or read this blog, because then he would know there is support for him out there, and, secondly, it is a good thing this did not happen during an opera at the Metropolitan, because, I am telling you, dolls, those Vicious Opera Qeens are tougher than butch jocks when their enjoyment is threatened, and they would have beaten those two to a bloody pulp. I am telling you, there would have been nothing left. At least the Stonewall guys left them alive--to pay their penalities.
What is this, National Gay Harassment Month???? College campuses, gay bars, where the Hell are we supposed to feel safe?
Of course, there is still The Center, thank God, but I think for insurance purposes, at least during these troubled times, they should assign Rollereena to hall patrol! And I STILL say my friend Harvey IS Rollereena.
It all reminds me of that "Law and Order" episode called "Manhood." A cop in a shooting calls for backup help; the call is relayed. Three cars are in the area, but allegedly "have difficulty" reaching the guy in time, so he dies. Turns out the cop was gay, and the police scum hangs him out to dry. They go on trial, and the bastard jury finds them "Not Guilty." They must have been congregants recruited from Anita Bryant's church. The last line, by the brilliant Sam Waterson, has him saying,"And they voted their indifference."
I fear this sceneario, and this line in the case of Tyler Clementi. And how many more attacks or killings, self or otherwise, do we have to stand for???? If Tanya Tucker were around, I would not stop her from firing some buckshot. As it is, these homophobes at the very least need to be locked in a theater and forced to watch "Steel Magnolias." Because they are NOT Steel Magnolias, they are Shit On A Shingle!!!!!!!!!
I am so alliterative today, aren't I, girls???? See what happens when I get all worked up!!!! Well, I am exhausted! Now I want all my girls out there to get all worked up! Hell, I want to get back to books, Bloody Marys and fasfhion, not worry about the next community member to get killed or pummeled. Fuck you, you heterosexual bigots!!!!!!!!! Rot like the scum you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And don't you DARE upset my table centerpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Girls, We Have Ourselves Another Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
While nothing, darlings, that this column produces further on, will ever top the evil of last week's winners, this week's interestingly follows in the wake of the previous ones. The winner of this week's Raving Queen Bitch Of The Week Award is Andrea Peyser.
Miss Peyser has had it coming to her for years. Let's start with the fact that she writes for that reactionary right wing rag, the NY Post, and while all of us, hon, have every so often sampled its turgid entertainment, never taking it as serious journalism, Miss Peyser would have you see otherwise.
Read any of her columns over a time, and you get an evil, racist, bitch. Now add homophobia to the list. Yes, dears, Peyser had sounded off about Tyler Clementi---in the wrong way, of course.
BUT, to be fair, loves, she DOES say "It has gone too far. I am sorry for Tyler Clementi and his family." I will say at least THIS much--Andrea has said more than Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei, or their parents. Not so much as a word of condolence. Makes you wonder what kind of scum is theese.
Where Peyser gets it wrong, and in the process hurts Tyler, is blaming Facebook and the social media. Now, girls, you know I am no fam of Facebook. I may blog, but this is as far as it goes, lambs. You know how I feel about those who think technology is the answer--the kind who couldn't function if it all vanished tomorrow morning. Hell, I could--just as long as I still had a coffee maker!!!! THAT is the deal breaker with me, loves!!!!!!!!!
Much as I abhor Facebook, it was not responsible for this tragedy. Hell, Tyler himself posted a farewell on it, which, maybe had it been heeded, could have prevented this sweet, talented young man from his deed, and kept him around for the love that was sure to come his way.
No, Facebook is NOT responsible; it is the people who use it and the uses it was put to by Ravi and Wei. And Peyser, of course, sidesteps this notion because of Tyler's homosexuality. He was just taking what we in the know call those first, tentative baby steps into the gay community, and even parents who photograph their literal offspring's steps, do so with a modicum of privacy or a willingness on their part to share. Tyler was not given the choice to share, which I am sure he would not have chosen. That choice was premeditatedly and evilly made for him, leading him to making the decision he did. Wrong choices all around.
But does Peyser use her verbal facility to muse upon this? No, in fact, according to the Village Voice, the message is if you read her carefully, you come away with Peyser's basic attitudes towards gays, which mirror those of people like my white trash relatives--
" You are not deserving of equal rights.
You are sick.
Your life should be behind closed doors.
Children shouldn't be left around you, for
fear you will corrupt them.
You don't deserve to ever get married or to
have a fammily.
You are not normal."
Nice, Andrea! And this from someone who grew up in Queens, the land of frosted hair and tinted nails, which is how low level look at glamourizing themselves. Even for the NYPOST, I am surprised Peyser has made it beyond the
high school secretarial pool. but then we don't really know her credentials, do we?
And I don't think the NY POST is too strict about its writers educations. I am sure
you will not see any Ivy Leagures writing for it. Like me, I am sure they would
rather wait tables, before being associated with such a rag.
Miss Peyser's lowlife origins and bad fashiion sense alone would make her Bitch Of The Week. But her scurlious attitudes in the face of the Clementi situation make her our indisputed winner this week. Let me just add, Rutgers Universtiy is looking REAL good as a future contender; with Tyler gone two weeks, and nothing pending yet for Ravi and Wei (OK, I understand that) why doesn't Rutgers give itself some credibility in the face of this tragedy and EXPEL the scum???????
Believe me, if they do not, you are looking at a column there. But only time will tell, loves!!!!!!!!!!
In the meantime, let us toast Andrea Peyser as our Bitch Of The Weeek, as neither her fashion sense or editiorial manner are expected to improve. Have a Bloody Mary in honor of Andrea. Hell, have two--making sure one of those drinks gets tossed right in her face!!!!!!!!!

Darlings, It Is Time To Sort Some Things Out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Girls, as you know, it has been an emotionally frenzied week, and already Thursday is again looming, and another Bitch Of The Week has to be selected. Hardly anyone--even "Fatal Attraction's" own Alex Forrest--could top the scum who made it last week--more on them later--so the task facing us here tomorrow is more daunting than it ever has been.
But, first, let me make it clear that in ANY production of "The Little Foxes," I AM Regina! Sure, I have tha acting chops to play Aunt Birdie, but hell who would when up against the challenge of playing Regina, bitching at everyone in sight, and chewing every piece of scenery on stage. Even in this New York Theater Works version of "The Little Foxes," which I am told plays like "Melrose Place Redux," Regina is a force to be reckoned with. So why wouldn't I want to play her, and why shouldn't I, lambs???? Make no mistake, though, girls, I can PLAY Regina, but if you read my posts of last week, it is clear I am NOT Regina!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile, poor Jonathan Franzen. He can't go anyplace without something happening to him!!!!!!!!! Just recently, in a bookstore in London--yes, London, girls!--to promote his much lauded "Freedom," two alleged bookstore workers pranced up onstage, grabbed his glasses, made off with them and demanded a $100k ransom!!!!!!!!!! I mean, girls, if it was Judy Garland's 'Oz' dress or ruby slippers. OK, but Jonathan Franzen's glasses!!!!!!!
I would like to make it clear to all and sundry that neither I nor my acolytes had anything to do with this stunt. I have my OWN glasses, lambs, which suit me just fine, and if I wanted to get my hands on $100K fast, I would come up with something more imaginative than this. i am just glad our dreamy Mr. Franzen got his signature specs back, and had the graciousness not to press charges. You can bet I would have, dolls!!!!!!!!!!!
And speaking of charges, the Tyler Clementi case drags on. Now those two scum, Miss Wei, especially, are proclaiming no bias, and Miss Wei is furthermore saying she had nothing to do with it! Yeah, right! Come on, you bitch, I have seen enough 'SVU' to guess she is cutting some deal whereby she testifies against Ravi and gets either a lesser sentence or walks. I don't care what sentence is handed out, as long as these two characters do time.
Do you realize that our sweet, precious, Tyler, even amidst despaair, wrote 'Sorry' on his Facebook page before casting himself into the abyss. Those two words--"I'm sorry!" has yet to be heard from either Ravi, Wei, OR their parents, in relation to not only Tyler, but the Clementi family as well. I know everyone is entitled to a fair trial, and attorneys have to do their jobs, but what is the matter with these two indefensible scum? Apparently, from the parents' behavior, or lack of it, they are just tranfering what they learned at home to their lives. I hope those lives are soon to get a reckoning by some kind of prison sentence.
Meantime, girls, in the face of all this, we have to think about tkts to "Me, Myself And I," "The Divine Sister," reading "The House Of Mirth," and carrying on our lives as gorgeously as we can, girls. Thank God for Monsieur Davide, and of course "The Golden Girls!"
May all MY girls stay golden--naturally or with bottled aid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
