Thank You, Jessie, Lindsay, And Everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          My assessment of "Carousel" will appear later this week.  Right now, I want to write a love letter to the cast.

                           My thanks first to Jessie Mueller and Lindsay Mendez, two of the hardest working actresses on Broadway, who were gracious enough to sign not only my program, but countless others.  You two are a class act, both onstage and off!!!!!!!!!!!!  Hoist that leg, Lindsay!  Loved it!

                           Joshua Henry--You have GOT to hear this guy sing.  I mean, holy moly!  The best male voice I have hears since, perhaps Jason Danieley.   The notes were there, but so was Billy's pain and torment.  Josh, you wuz robbed of that TONY Award.  But don't worry.  Yours is somewhere down the road.

                            Renee Fleming--What do Theater Queens know about opera?  The closest most get to it is "Candide."  What a glorious Nettie Miss Fleming made; no wonder she was TONY nominated.  An d her understated delivery of "You'll Never Walk Alone" was so on target,  I sobbed through the whole thing.

                             Kudos to Jacob Keith Watson, for, unexpectedly to me, at least, stepping into the role of Enoch Snow.  A deep rich voice--just hear him, as he holds the word "More!," it took my breath away.

                              Justin Peck--Honey, if I were younger, I would want to study with you!  The conceptual opening of the show was stunning, that Act Two ballet--brilliantly danced by Brittany Pollack and Andrei Chagas, is one of the best dance set pieces ever created.  I want to see more from Justin!

                                Amar Ramasar-Danced the hell out of what is usually not a dancing role, and made Jigger more believable.  Most have been played as so sleazy, how could anyone be drawn to him?  Here, Amar is the cutest Jigger, dances, and brings an underlying seductive charm that can rope the unwary, like Billie and Carrie, into his clutches.  You can train me, honey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                  Same with Garett Hawe and Corey John Snide.  Exquisite dancers, whom, were I younger, and stronger, I would want to emulate.

                                     Oh, I even bought a "Carousel" hat. For special occasions.

                                   "Carousel" wiped me out, guys.  After crying my way through it, I came home, sank into a dreamless, emotionally exhausted sleep, which I did not awake from until 10:15, this morning.  I write this, shortly thereafter, coffee by my side!

                                     Now, that I have seen it, you can have a look.  Here is some of Justin's and the company's work!  I would go again, in a moment's notice!

                                      The power of theater!  Darlings, I am telling you!

Sarah Huckabee Sanders Shouldn't Get Served At Burger King!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                               I have nothing against Burger King, where Beyoncé eats, but I applaud The Red Hen in Lexington, VA, for not serving Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

                               I have nothing against plus sized women.  What I object to is not Sanders' Size--she knows how to put herself together, and has nice hair; I give her that--but that she is a classless bitch.

                                 You can dress White Trash up in elegance, but it still shows through!!!!!!!!!!

                                 How the hell did this woman get a husband?  I cannot believe she is married.  She has a loud, braying manner that is suggestive of a donkey, except I don't want to offend donkeys.

                                   So I applaud The Red Hen in not serving Sanders.  They probably did not have enough food on hand, to accommodate her, anyway.

                                     Let her go to Papa John's, or Chick Fil-A,  or other such places that espouse right wing causes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Carousel" Countdown--Less Than Seven Hours To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                   That's right, girls--HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!  I got my hair done, now I have to find the right outfit, foundation, concealer and blush--and then I am off to "Carousel," with David, to swoon and sob my way through this beautiful musical theater masterwork.

                                       Please all be there, my "Carousel" darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                       I know I slept last night, because I did have some weird dreams, which I cannot remember, but it seems like I did not.  My excitement was too much to contain.

                                        It may take me days to process the experience, but I promise that by the end of the week, I will have done my due diligence.

                                        Off to take my "Carousel" ride, dolls!  Hope I have enough tissues!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It Shouldn't Happen To A Dog! But There Is A Happy Ending!

                          This is Poly, and she is a 3-year-old pit bull.  Last October, some evil sadist--who should be hunted down and arrested--left her on a park bench in Santa Maria, CA.  Chained.  Added to all this--pay attention now!!!!--the poor creature is blind, and had recently given birth!!!!!!!!!

                             What kind of sick fucks are out there who would do such a thing?????????  I would like to see the responsible party tied to the same bench, and left out there, for all to see.  Bet they would a few stones tossed at them, like in Shirley Jackson's "The Lottery."  I wouldn't blame them.

                                This happened back on October 14.  Poly was discovered by a Santa Barbara worker, who contacted a woman named Jennifer Wales,  who has been rescuing animals for 25 years.  Thank God for folks like these.  They do the work of the angels.

                                   Blindness was not the only issue.  Poly was discovered to have a congenital heart condition, ringworm, and skin problems, resulting in scabbing.

                                     Jennifer Wales,through her organization, Foreverhome Pet Rescue, has placed Poly in a foster home, where she is getting all the love and care the sadist denied her.  Happily she is thriving, and, once all her medical problems are dealt with, will await adoption by some family, who should make her happy.

                                      Of course, one has to be careful with pit bulls, but no living creature, let alone one so handicapped, deserves this kind of treatment.  I hope the responsible party is found and arrested.

Poly is now doing well.  She has gone from park benches, to being a good time party girl!

"Carousel" Countdown--1 Day To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                       Yes, darlings, it is the day before I attend "Carousel."  How am I going to sleep tonight?  I better, because I need to be awake to absorb every second of this show.

                                          I have my hair appointment this afternoon, and even as I write this, coffee by my side, I am going through my closet mentally, figuring out what I am going to wear for this special event.

                                            Will it all live up to this advanced excitement?  I will be sure to tell you!

                                             I am ready to swoon and sob!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Of Course Today Is The Longest Day Of The Year! It Is MERYL's Birthday!!!!!!!!! Give The Divine One More Time To Celebrate!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                 Can you believe, darlings, that Meryl Streep--MERYL!!!!!!!!!!!--is just one year away from 70??????????????  How is such a thing possible, because this is not someone who is going to sit in a rocking chair, knitting mittens from the grand kiddies.

                                   I mean, talented, intellectually brilliant, and gorgeous!  MERYL has it all.  Age has not got a thing on her.  Bet she can devour a massive birthday cake, and not gain an ounce!  I should be so lucky!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                     I long ago gave up trying to figure out MERYL's secrets.  I say let's just enjoy her, and appreciate her for the gifts she shares with us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                       And also wish her one hell of a 69th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Carousel" Countdown--Just 2 Days To Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And A New "Carrie Diaries!!!!!!!!!!!!"

                              That's right, girls, just two days till my "Carousel" visit, and, I am telling you, there is still a lot to do.  I have to get my hair done tomorrow, and decide what in the world I am going to wear, because let me tell you, girls, it is as much about being seen as seeing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                I am like a kid just days before Christmas.  I did experience that at one time in my life, and, I assure you, this feels the same way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                  How fitting that just before my "Carousel" visit, Lindsay Mendez does a new "Carrie Diaries."  You have to see it, to ready yourselves for the "Carousel" experience.
