A True Holiday Horror Classic--Christmas Horror Image #14--The Original, 1974 "Black Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

                                         This was remade in 2006, but, let me tell you, it cannot come up to this one, with its mixture of sorority house murder and menace, a traumatized child incestuously raped by his mother, and an eyeless, little girl named Agnes.

                                           Channel 9 would omit the more gory sequences when on TV, but the story, and atmosphere, came across, thanks to the direction of Bob Clark, and a superb cast of sorority sisters, including Olivia Massey, Margot Kidder, and Andrea Martin!!!!!!!!!!!!  Try to find a cast like that today to make crap like this!  Andrea later played the house mother in the 2006 remake, with her icicle death being the most memorable moment.

                                              The original throws in Keir Dullea as a red herring, who may, or may not, be the killer.  Ghostly whispers permeate the house--"Agnes....where are you?  This is Billy." It is truly creepy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                                 Darlings, if you haven't seen it, you must!  It is one of the treasures of Christmas horror glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
