Honey, I am telling you, last night's episode of "Law And Order SVU", entitled "Father Dearest" was one highlight after another. It brought a welcome return from Mr. B.D. Wong, who, as Dr. George Huang, is the cutest FBI profiler out there, and thank God he was on hand to explain whatever the hell was going on in this episode.
Which brings me to the second highlight. It was one of the most convoluted, and, I have to say, worst scripts, I have seen from the writers of this series. It starts out with the search for
a teenage girl gone missing; it turns out she is a donor child, and is looking for her real father. Then someone
out there is discovered to be impersonating one particular sperm donor, and having sex with all of the donor daughters!!!!!!!! Huh???????? This turns out to be played by James Van Der Beek, who does an excellent job, in spite of the material, who is doing all this to get back at a woman who dumped him for her now current husband, back when they were all in college twenty years ago!!!!!!!!!! Can you believe this??????? Even for psychosis, this is pushing things a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!
But the biggest highlight came when, investigating the clinic where the sperm
was donated, Olivia and Amanda Rollins go in and impersonate a lesbian couple seeking to have a child!!!!!
Darlings, it is about time!!!!!!!! I always suspected Rollins, being butch, was lesbian, and it is about time they brought this out...and brought her out. The two of them played this scene like two little love birds. I bet the girls downtown at Henrietta's were going wild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If only the entire thing had been as good as Wong and this scene. This wasn't just a no brainer, darlings, it was lack thereof.
And to think next week, we get Martha Stewart. As a school headmistress,yet!!!!!!!!! This should be a hoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am betting anything she is the perp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
