Go, Granny, Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Darlings, remember Shelley Winters in "Who Slew Auntie Roo?" Both she and the Witch in "Hansel And Gretel" had nothing on the Killer Granny I am going to talk about--Judy Gough of
Boise, Idaho!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, girls, it is the Midwest once again! All that repression simply breeds trouble.
Judy wasn't a granny, but a wife, back in 1980, when she killed her second husband, Lloyd Ford, with a shotgun, pumping some bullets into his head. At the time, she said it was because he was abusing both she and the children, though the offspring who later testified denied they had experienced or seen any signs of abuse.
To cover her tracks, Judy got her then 12-year-old daughter, Kim, to witness the murder, thereby creating a living trauma for her, a secret which she kept hidden for 30 years. Then she got her two sons, who had been digging a hole for what was supposed to be a peach tree in the yard, to bury Lloyd, and fill in the hole! Nice soil fodder, there, dolls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eventually, Kim testified against her mother, and Judy, at 63, was found guilty, and sentenced to 10 years in prison. Too light a sentence, if you ask me, especially after covering up a killing for three decades, and forcing your daughter to do same, which traumatized her severely.
I'll say this for Auntie Roo and the "Hansel And Gretel" Witch. They had clear, apparent motives. No one seems to be sure what Judy Gough's motives were--including Judy, herself!!!!!!!!
Lloyd may have been a louse, but no one could prove for certain that he was, or had harmed a hair on anyone's head.
I don't know if money was involved--I don't think so--but I think the bottom line was Judy was sick and tired of being married to Lloyd, wanted out, and chose murder over divorce, for fear she would lose the children. Well, Judy, guess what? You lost them already, once you pulled that trigger and forced Kim to watch. And what a legacy for their children--YOUR grandchildren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is no Little Old Lady From Pasadena, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just watched the Dateline episode on this story and the horror the daughter has suffered thru is beyond words. Of course the sons too, it is unconcievable to me how sick a parent has to be to get your kids to help you, even if its not pulling thw trigger is. 10 yrs is not enough. It was so interesting that her daughter had been so programmed to tell the story of "Lloyd left" that when talking to Keith M, she started to tell it that way and caught herself, obviously because it had been SO engrained in her as if it really happened. The trauma and mental torture to her kids should have caused her to get life alone, then life for the killing
I could not agree more!
My mother was married to one of the sons.

Starlight,
Which son? And by your
comment, I am supposing the
marriage broke up?
