'Nice Work,' Jessie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                             Someone out there must be listening to me, darlings, because Jessie Mueller's star is certainly on the rise!!!!!!!!!!!!  No sooner do I come down to Earth from excitement over the fact she will be singing Carrie in the upcoming NY Philharmonic "Carousel," then comes word that she will be replacing Kelli O'Hara as the female lead in "Nice Work, If You Can Get It!"

                                             Kelli's last performance is actually Easter Sunday, which is March 31, after which she will begin working on the Playwrights Horizons musical of "Far From Heaven" (with her playing the Julianne Moore role, though I can hardly see this film as a musical!!!!!!!!!!!).  Jessie steps into the show the following Tuesday, which is April 2.  And just so you know this Raving Queen does not waste time, Monsieur and I have tickets for the Sunday matinee, April 14!!!!!!!!!!  I can't wait to hear Jessie sing "Someone To Watch Over Me!"  It will melt the heart, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                             I think we will just miss Blythe Danner's turn in it. She went in on December 18, for what was to be 12 weeks.  It would be great seeing both she and Jessie, but, unless Blythe renews her contract (which, who knows, she may, after hearing Jessie is coming!) , someone else will be playing the mother, come April 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                               Jessie's arrival is the freshest bit of Spring right now on the Rialto!  So, all you Theater Queens, gear up, in your Anne Baxter white trench coats and funny hats, to greet Jessie when she  arrives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
