This Is One We Have Just GOT To See, Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                          However, it may be hard to find, not only because this 1982 film is virtually forgotten, so it may not be on DVD, (I had never heard of it, till it was referenced in research I was doing for my post on "The Baby!!!!!!!!") added to which it goes by a number of titles--"Night Warning," "Nightmare Maker," and "Butcher, Baker, Nightmare Maker," which is the original title of the novel it is purportedly based on!!!!!!!!!!

                                          This movie sounds like a hoot!  Bo Svenson plays a homophobic, bigoted cop named Joe Carlson, who is out to frame high school basketball star Billy Lynch (played by--get this--Kristy McNichol's brother, Jimmy!!!!!!!) for the murder of a TV repairman, which the cop is convinced resulted from a homosexual love triangle!  As if this is not convoluted enough, Billy's Aunt Cheryl, (Susan Tyrell) who has raised him, since his parents died in his childhood, has love in her heart for him--and THEN some!  She has the incestuous hots for Billy, and wants him all for herself, so she goes about killing everyone who gets in the way of her having a "relationship" with Billy!!!!!!!!!!!

                                           Now, frankly, I don't understand this already, darlings, because, let's face it, Jimmy McNichol was cute enough in his own way, but hardly hot enough that deranged aunts and closeted TV repairmen, (and, honeys, let me tell you, that repairman thing exists only in the fantasy world of porn movies!!!!!!!!!) so don't go looking for logic here.  Just a big old Camp Fest!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                            This movie calls in to mind something I never thought about.  With this film, plus "Whatever Happened To Aunt Alice?," "Who Slew Auntie Roo?," and "Sleepaway Camp," a sub-genre is born--the Aunt From Hell!!!!!!!!!!!!  And why not!!!!!!!!!!!  There has been Everyone Else From Hell!!!!!!!!!!  Why shouldn't Aunts get their turn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                            But the forgotten Susan Tyrell lusting after the forgotten Jimmy Mc Nichol???????????  This I gotta see!!!!!!!  They must have shot this one on the Island Of Lost Actors, because that seems to be where this entire cast is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                             So, let's all give it a look, darlings!  Then discuss it, once we see it!!!!!!!!!!!!
