Girls, I Am Telling You, You Had To Hand It To Patricia Neal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                              Another anthology entry we watched last night, darlings, was entitled, "Time Of Terror," a very misleading title. I think they were trying to keep viewers from guessing the premise, though I could have told you what it was, the minute the action stepped into the gambling casino!!!!!!!!!!

                                What saved this from the schlock it actually is, was the bravura performance of Patricia Neal, as Ellen Alexander.  You have to give credit to Pat, girls, for stepping out, alone onto a highway--one that looked vaguely familiar to "North By Northwest," with her face caked with blood, her blouse torn, blood on her arm, and her hair a holy mess, blowing in the desert wind.

                                     I swear, no actress today, except Meryl Streep, would attempt such a thing!  Trouble is, being MERYL, she would have insisted on a better script.

                                      There are also two nice cameos by Craig Stevens and Alice Ghostley!

                                        I don't want to say too much. But, if you have ever seen Herk Harvey's "Carnival of Souls (1962) or the Twilight Zone episode, "The Hitchhiker," featuring the late Inger Stevens, this is in the same generic territory.

                                        But you have to watch it, for Patricia Neal's performance!  I mean, this gal had guts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                          May we all look our best, while trolling along lone highways!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                          Better than Reese Witherspoon, as Vanessa Lutz (for sluts!) in "Freeway," darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
