It Would Not Be December 1, Without This, Darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                          Unfortunately, girls that is not Jane Connell or Frankie Michaels.  But it is two actors playing the roles of Young Patrick Dennis, and Agnes Gooch, about to deliver one of the most perfect opening numbers in Musical Theater--"St. Bridget," from "Mame."

                            Who could forget the liner notes for the song, on the Original Cast Album?

                             "St. Bridget--Jane Connell, Frankie Michaels.  December l, 1928.  Into the
brilliantly blinking Manhattan night, wander two lost souls, newly arrived from Des Moines, newly orphaned
Patrick Dennis, (Frankie Michaels) age 10, and Agnes Gooch, (Jane Connell) faithful nanny,  delivering her charge to his only living relative--a certain Mame Dennis of No. 3 Beekman Place."

                              Let's face it, only a true Theater Queen could type that from memory!  Bet I am not the only one out there!

                               Oh, and before we go further, this day marks another anniversary.  Thirty one years ago today, I moved to this town.  That I have survived as durably as Liza Minnelli is a miracle!!!!!!   I wonder which of my hips and knees will get to stay mine????????????

                                But, here are Jane and Frannkie at their most perfect.  Let us usher in December with a rendering of "St. Bridget!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
