What a crazy day, it was, girls! We headed to the Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Gardens, to meet our friends, Dan, Norma and Judy. As you know, for the past several months, we have spotted, getting on the R at the Bay Ridge Avenue stop, this woman who looks, like Sandra Knight in "Frankenstein's Daughter." Though, Sandra's stardom was back in 1958, so this must be the Granddaughter. But, you can bet,. Summer approaching, she is running through that neighborhood in that Summer robe, and one piece black bathing suit.
To make the day special, I decided to wear my T-Shirt, replicating the classic movie poster for "Attack Of The Fifty Foot Woman." I never got so much attention in my life. It certainly is a crowd pleaser. And to think, when I first saw it, I wanted to be Yvette Vickers, as Honey Parker, being kept by some rich sleazebag in a cheap hotel room, above the town's leading cultural spot, "Tony's Bar And Grill." Thank God, my aspirations changed!
But Fifties Femme Fatales seemed to be dominating the day! In spite of it all, it was a lovely afternoon. The Cranford Rose Garden is like walking into the nineteenth century!
And, for a time, we all wanted to stay there! But cooler heads prevailed, darlings, and home we wended. But what a sparkling day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
