This is more in line with what Easter is all about, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But Jesus was entombed with a stone covering the entrance, and I wonder how Mary Magdalene and the others, enroute, thought they were going to roll away the stone!
Much to their relief, an angel was there, the stone unrolled, and they were told of the Resurrection. Mary Magdalene ran to the Disciples telling them the Lord had been taken from the tomb!
But such was not the case. Jesus later appeared to them, live, and that was the first Easter!
Which is why some people get up early, to reenact, in their own way, this rite.
And it would not surprise me if a white bunny rabbit had been in the vicinity.
But chocolate eggs and such. That came along in the late nineteenth, early twentieth century, due to American commercialism!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Easter, everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
