The 29-year old Quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, also cited Most Valuable Player, has had his sexuality come under question. He is being rumored to be gay; the underlying context being that to be so is a bad thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can tell you one thing about Aaron! Lots of my girls would have no problem with him being gay!!!!!!!!!! And would wish he were!!!!!!!!!!!!
But, as he keeps saying, "I really, really like women." Is the gentleman doth protesting too much. I think not; I believe he is telling the truth. The point here is, why does he have to defend himself in this way???? What should it matter if he were true, or not???????????? How many more times is this tired old tune going to be played??????????????
Rodgers also keeps his private life very close to the vest, which is what, I think, prompted the rumors, in the first place. Shouldn't he have the right to his own private life, straight or not, without having to justify it?????? How long before we can get away from the trite images the sports industry cooks up of its players, who are just people, when it comes right down to it??????????????
This is a straight guy, who is having homophobia directed at him! It would as wrong to do so if he were actually gay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The fact that he is not, and this is happening, says something very disturbing about our society!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If the person doesn't fit the prescribed mold, who wants anything to do with him????????????
