Happy Flag Day, Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But What Does It Actually Mean??????????????????????

                                        It is Flag Day, once again, which means it is easy for me to remember the birthday of my friend, Mary Anne,--Happy Birthday!--but, once upon a time, Flag Day meant something.

                                         There is something to be said that the generations before us--our grandparents, great grand parents, even our parents--were more patriotic.  In those days, Flag Day may not have been as readily observed as Memorial or Labor Day--it has never been a National Holiday--but I bet those elders would know more about its importance and meaning than any of us.

                                            So, to them all, I say a Happy Flag Day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                            And to the rest of us--WOW!--another June 14!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
