You have got to be kidding. I mean, he is nice looking enough, but with folks like Jake Gyllenhal and Jonathan Groff--even Daniel Radcliffe--out there, you have got to be kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everyone, including myself, remembers Wylie best as the baby-faced intern on TV's "E.R." But that is about twenty years ago. He was cute then. Now, he has just aged.
Maybe PEOPLE need gay men on the staff who judges this award. Had there been any, I am sure it would not have gone to Noah Wylie.
So many more I could have thought of.
Maybe there is some kind of hormonal imbalance at PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This particular award is utterly heterocentric: whatever guy seized the zeitgeist of a large cross section of cis female audiences is selected to win any given year. It just so happens Wylie has made a staggeringly successful inexplicably popular comeback as pretty much the same damn character in a similar show. All the younger women who missed the first mania of ER and Clooney have latched onto The Pitt and Wylie this past year. For them, he is indeed "the sexiest man alive". Personally, I would have chosen someone like Parker Young, who is overdue, but then I'm not a straight woman following social media trends so WTH do I know...
