We Have A Lot Of Processing To Do, Tonight, Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight, we come to the end of "The Slap," and I, for one, am going to miss it, because, whether you are with Rosie or not, the acting, and the cast, has been one of the finest to grace television in recent years. With Melissa George and Mackenzie Leigh, especially, it is going to be hard to see them without thinking, first, or Rosie and Connie.
What will happen to Rosie?
Will she get justice?
How will Connie handle it all?
Will Harry be exposed, for the sexist bastard he is???????????
Will Sandi divorce him?
And, most of all, how will it all end???????????
As I have said elsewhere, the last two episodes seem to be radically deviating from the book, so I cannot begin to even guess what will happen tonight. I mean, what is this past that is going to be brought to light, with Richie on the stand? Richie is a teenage kid, like Connie; how much past can he have? He is out, he accepts his sexuality, Connie accepts him, so what could the issue be?
But wait!
For all her youth, Connie has something of a past, after her little dalliance with Hector. Could....oh, my God... it.turn out that Richie had had a similar thing going, at one time, with..........Harry????????????????
Now, that would be something! Mr Straight Macho Man turns out to be someone who sticks it in any hole, no matter which way the wind blows??????????????
It would be a hoot, darlings, and I would love it, but be prepared for something of a letdown!!!!!!!!!!! We will dish tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How Rosie and Connie will be missed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Delicious Morsel Is Headed To Paper Mill, Darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Playhouse, in Milburn, New Jersey, that is. Returning to where he began his triumphant career jumper as Crutchie in "Newsies," Andrew is going to be featured with Christine Ebersole in the musical "Ever After." This is an adaptation of a 1998 Drew Barrymore film that reinvents the story of "Cinderella." My guess, with Christine, is that she is either playing the Stepmother, or Fairy Godmother. With Andrew, who knows? He may be Cinderella?????? And if he were, wouldn't we just love to take him to the ball?????????
The show is only running a solid month, from May 21, until June 21. But for those who love Andrew as much as I do, you may want to get a jump start on tickets, so you can see the show, and then greet him at the stage door!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Darlings, I am telling you, it is all so scrumptious!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When The Skies Weren't Friendly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They certainly were not, on March 24, 2015. That was the day that 27-year-old Hamburg born Andreas Lubitz killed himself, and 149 others, by crashing a Lufthansa plane he was co-piloting smack into a mountain in the French Alps.
Under other circumstances, I might be writing about Andreas as a troubled soul. After all, I have issues about suicide, having experienced, several times, the loss of some I have known, through this tragic method.
But, once Andreas made the irrevocable decision to take with him the 149 innocent people aboard the plane, (some of whom, it just figures, had to be children!!!!!!!!) he goes from being a sad, tragic soul, to the winner of this week's Raving Queen Bitch Of The Week Award.
If a person makes a decision to end their life, I might not agree with it, but that is their personal business. And they generally keep the act to themselves. But Lubitz didn't, which makes him one sick bitch. Why should others die, just because he wants to?????????????
It's been reported that, the day before the dastardly deed, his girl friend broke up with him. Smart gal; maybe she knew more than she let on. I don't care; that alone is not enough to send someone over the bend, to do this. Their had been problems several years before, where he took a year off from flight training, for mental issues.
Issues most likely with him long before he attended his first flight school class.
If there were a runner-up for this week, it would be Lufthansa,, whose psychological profiling cannot be too skilled, and then, after leaving for admitted problems, they let this guy back in? Shame on them! The deaths of those innocent people are on this organization's hands, as well.
But Andreas is the Bitch Of The Week. He said he wanted to make a name for himself. Well, you know, Andreas, many of us do, but we don't kill ourselves and others to do it.
Because, what's the point? You are not around to bask in the so-called attention!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rest Assured, Andreas, Satan has special plans, for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, My God, Girls!!!!!!!!!!! Another Maundy Thursday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maundy, Maundy, can't trust that day....Oops, that's the Mamas and the Papas!!!!!!!!!!
Today is Maundy Thursday, better known as Holy Thursday, which is the night the Last Supper took place. Many legends have sprung up, around this occasion. One is that, at the event, Jesus said to the Apostles, "Everyone get behind the table, for the picture." If you go according to Andrew Lloyd Webber, it's the night the Apostles sang "Look at all my trials and tribulations."
When I was a child, this was the evening when my father would drag me to Mass at St. Paul's Church, in Highland Park, and,, midway, the priest would walk up and down the aisles, swinging by a metal chain this lantern like contraption, containing burning incense. The smell put me off any interest in incense, in general.
Meanwhile, here's that Last Supper song! Happy eating, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Laudy, Laudy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can You Believe "The Slap" Ends Its Run On Maundy Thursday?????????????????????????
After tomorrow night, "The Slap" comes to a screeching halt, and will be part of history. I am both excited and sad. I am excited to see how things are resolved, (or not) because, girls, I have no idea what is coming, since last week's episode so clearly deviated from the book.
Richie really hasn't had the exposure he gets in the book. And even though the final episode is titled by his name, meaning it should center on him, almost everyone is going to tune in tomorrow night, to see if Rosie gets justice, and that sexist pig, Harry, gets what he deserves. Let me say I have a feeling we are all going to be disappointed. Remember, I warned you!
I know I will miss "The Slap." It had the best ensemble cast and acting of anything seen on TV recently. I will wonder what happens to Rosie, and to Richie and Connie, though I know Connie will continue to struggle, but succeed.
So-- Maundy Thursday and "The Slap." Who would have thought it?
Maybe not soul mates but they have been thrown together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just Think, Girls--April Fools, And Spy Wednesday, Too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It seems like we are getting slammed all in one week--Spy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Passover, Holy Saturday, then Easter. And on that day, of course, the annual screening of "The Song Of Bernadette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I always wondered what one was supposed to do on Spy Wednesday. This is not an excuse day for pervy voyeurs to spy on objects of their obsession. In fact, maybe the object here is not to spy on anyone, for the ones that did, it seems to me, were Jesus' detractors, and I am certainly not one of those! And neither are my girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think the best way to approach the day is to go about it as regularly as possible. Don't spy on anybody, and if you catch someone spying on you, give them what for!!!!!!!!!!
After all, Bill Cosby was put on the map, via "I Spy," and look what has happened to him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Today Is A Day Of Glamour, Darlings, And...Ooops....April Fools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fooled you, didn't I, girls????????? Can you believe we are already into April????????? When is Winter going to let go of its grasp on us???????? Anyway, instead of opening the month with a pastoral scene--there will be plenty of time for that, in days to come--I thought I would open with a REAL howler--Richard Cuhna's (the same year he made "She-Demons!!!!!!!!!") 1958 classic, "Frankenstein's Daughter."
The whole thing is pretty much a meditation on Mary Shelley's original, cautionary theme, but in Fifties (and relevant for today, dears!) parlance! This is a warning not to have too many face lifts, and to maintain daily your natural beauty through make-up and lotions. Otherwise, you will end up looking like Sandra Knight, above--a monster running through neighborhoods, with a great body, but rotten face, in a bathrobe and one-piece bathing suit!!!!!!!!!!! Beware the hazards of neglecting one's beauty maintenance!!!!!!!!!!!!
And wait till you see Sally Todd, as Susie Lawler. Actually quite beautiful, once dead, she is turned into a mannish, beans n' franks lesbian version of a Frankenstein monster, because the budget would not allow for more feminine distinction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And speaking of "April Fools," here is Dionne Warwick!!!!!!!!!! Happy April, everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
