Hot Tamale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This One's For The Zoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this  man from outer space, or what?

Every Sunday morning, hours before Sister Camille, we are forced to listen to this guy named Steve Adubato.  Lord, what a name!  Which is repeated at every opportunity on the radio, either because the guy is such an egotist, or insecure.

Whatever, with a name like that, he should have gone no further than an Italian grocery store in a low rent Newark neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And to think he has a Ph.D in Mass Communications, from Rutgers.  Wow!  The university used to have standards.  Now, I guess any sanitation worker can walk in their door, and come out with a doctorate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, yes, his father is supposedly some political bigwig, and he is from a connected Jersey family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Then, why isn't he more polished? He claims to be a Democrat, but why do I get closet Republican vibes?

Let me tell you something, girls!  I accidentally heard a conversation between this guy and James Clementi, Tyler's father.  Adubato, for all he said about he and James being friends (yeah, right!) displayed little empathy when Clementi was talking.  As talk went on about the foundation, (ie; The Tyler Clementi Foundation) which he and his wife, Jane, started, he mentioned how approachable Jane is.  At that point Adubato kept badgering Clementi to tell them who Jane was.

What the Right Wing idiot does not realize is that most people who know the Tyler Clementi story, know who Jane is.  So, shut up, already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But what really got me going, and confirmed Adubato was all I have been saying on here was, on the subject of bullying, when Clementi says he has seen change and hope in the younger generation, and that maybe the generation with the problem is theirs, boy did Adubato get on the defensive! His face showed an anger ready to disown this claim, ban gay marriage, and throw a son of his into the street, for being gay!  I knew just what kind of a man Adubato was, because what more can be expected from garbage like this??????????????????

What this guy needs is to crawl back to his tenement apartment, where his post menopausal wife, with chin hair that should be shaved, and over boiling the pasta and over cooking the meatballs she serves him every night, while he eats dinner in his underwear, and thinks he is so great, when he is little more than trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You want to attack me, out there? Go ahead!  I apologize for nothing!  As Gena Rowlands said in "Gloria!"--

Come on!  COME ON!  I love it!  I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A REAL Man, Right? No, A Real, Fucking Bitch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Curits James Brockway, 39, is the winner of this week's Raving Queen Bitch Of The Week Award.  But he is SO representative of the Straight Male Right, who think they run the show, and step in when they should not. Everyone has relatives like these, and I am no exception.

Now, before the deed that earned him the above distinction, Brockway was convicted of an assault with a weapon in 2011.  That says something about him, already!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While recently attending a rodeo in Montana, while "The Star Spangled Banner" was playing, prior to the event, Brockway beat and body slammed 13-year-old Wally Crosby, for not removing his hat, during the instrumental rendering.

The boy said he did not hear Brockway's demands, and he may be right.

But, even if he did, and the boy was exercising his privilege to be Left Wing, it is no excuse for a man three times the child's size and weight, to slam into him.

The child had a bleeding ear for six hours, a concussion, and was hospitalized.  Congratulations, you right wing sexist pig; you deconstructed that little boy into a coma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is being charged, and I hope given the slammer.  I hope the inmates body slam him for beating  up on a little kid!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And Brockway says he was acting on President Trump's orders.  It does not surprise me that Brockway is a Trumper--just look at him!!!!!!!!!--but even as idiotic an administrator as Trump would not order child beating!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are more of him out there than you are aware.

Maybe the nation should barricade  all Red states, and right wing enclaves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                              Fucking bitch pig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No Trip To Asbury Is Complete, Without Visting Here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of us fascinated by the occult, this is a mecca.  The Paranormal Books And Curiosities Shop is practically next door to WORDS in Asbury Park, right along Cookman Avenue.

If you are looking for horror fiction, go to WORDS.  This is the real thing--books on witchcraft, conjuring the dead, Ouija boards, Tarot cards, and the like.  I did not see any Lenormand cards there, which is one area of improvement needed.

But in the evenings, they have ghost tours, which I would love to take, and, inside there is a Paranormal Museum, with all kinds of supernatural collectibles.
It was sold out, when we were there, and I did not know there schedule, and we were only spending a day there.  But, rest assured, I will go back, and give you a full report.  How could I pass this occult opportunity up????????????????
Like the sign says, the Asbury of my childhood is gone, but the place is not dead.

Visit The Paranormal Store, and have the fright of you lives, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One Of Two Reasons To Actually Go To Asbury Park!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The boardwalk is shot, the rides are all gone; there are only places to eat and drink your life away--if one is still in their twenties!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, the Asbury Park of my childhood years is gone.  It exists now only in my memory!

But you know me, girls!  If I spot a bookstore in town, I am sure to go in it.  And usually come out with something.

WORDS Bookstore in Asbury Park is such a place. The staff is lovely, the selections are great, and while I did walk out empty handed, that does not mean I will, next time I visit.  And, believe me, there will be a next time.

Culture is still alive and well in Asbury.

Make sure you make WORDS one of your pre-boardwalk stops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darlings, it's a little oasis in a dessert!

Finally, Our Trip To Ocean Grove!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Saturday, August 3, I believe, David and I, plus those two crazy kids, Dan And Norma, took a train trip to Ocean Grove, New Jersey.  Here we are pictured, left to right--David, Dan, Myself, and Norma.  This was taken in the garden of Charlotte Prtichard, of Ocean Grove, who has the most beautiful looking English country garden--and yes, that song will be heard.  It was delightful to meet Charlotte and her family, especially their dog, Woofy, who was a real sweetheart.
Here is a solo shot of Norma, in the garden.  See how fabulous she looks, and how well she blends in with the flowers?
Of course, I had to have one taken of me.  Send it to ANNA for "VOGUE."  Not a bad pic, if I do say so myself!  If only I were thinner!  Alas, age and genetics catch up with one, as I have learned!
Here is a typical Ocean Grove street.    Not quite as high end as Cape May, but charming and picturesque.  Not far from the ocean, either.  I can see myself, sitting in the coolness of the early day or evening, on the porch, doing my reading, listening to the calm of the waves.

But, what I want to know, is what happens when the Winter sets in, and the waves may not be as calm?
Ocean Grove is a Methodist community, but allow me to reassure you--no one came at us with flaming torches, or pitch forks.  It was just blessedly quiet, though the Methodist Revival Theater was readying for some sort of rock concert that evening!  Hot times on Saturday night!  And I was getting ready to hear the Gospel cry of "Do You Believe In Jesus?"
What would a visit to a place like Ocean Grove, be without a picture of the beach?  Notice the cross to the right.  We did not go on the beach, or in the water, but it was nice being near it.  We did walk from here over to Asbury, and the sun and heat made it a draining experience.  But beautiful, none the less.
And here are the Arlington Court apartments.  Could the future lead David and myself here?  Only time will tell.  But dig that crazy 1950's garden apartment look, straight out of "The Bad Seed."  One expects Nancy Kelly and Patty McCormack to walk out one of these doors.  Plus me, in my Rhoda regalia, to show how I can upstage Patty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, that was our trip to Ocean Grove, girls!  But it would not be complete without this--
"In An English Country Garden," girls!!!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Truly Satisfying Fiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had not read "The Stone Dairies" in at least twenty years. So, when a friend offered me her used copy on a visit, I took it, deciding it was time I reread it.

Am I glad I did.  The book holds up even better on a second reading, and the use of stones, stone cutting, and all things related thereof as metaphors, is brilliant.

Carol Goodwill Flett and her family are folks you must get to know.  This family saga, covering the early Twentieth Century, up through the Nineties, is filled with memorable characters, tragic incidents, fortuitous circumstances, and all the mysteries of life.  And each chapter reflects a different stage of life.  And there are more than Shakespeare's seven, according to Miss Shields.

"The Stone Diaries," which won the Pulitzer Prize For Fiction in 1995, reads like a lyrical memoir.  With mysterious accompanying photos, I am not sure if this is thinly disguised autobiography, or brilliant craftsmanship.

If you have not read Shields novel, I urge you to.  If you have, a second reading is a MUST.

Though Carol Shields wrote many works, this is still what she is best known for.

With her quality of writing, that absolutely amazes me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alas, Some Sad, Yet Cherished, Words About Scotty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some may recall a post I wrote, several Sundays ago, where Sister Camille D'Arienzo, on her morning broadcast, praised animals for the comfort they give, with her firm belief, and I agree with her, that there is a place for them in Heaven.

I am sad to report, this past Sunday, Sister Camille related that Scotty, her sister's cat, had passed, succumbing to the cancer he had, and how she and her sister had to bury him.  But not the happy memories, the comfort he brought, and that he will continue to bring, when they all meet again.

My heart goes out not only to Scotty, but to Sister and her sister, in their grief.

Say a prayer for them all, dear readers, and wish each an abundance of peace.

Animals know good souls when the encounter them, and Scotty encountered two of the best!

                                 In peace, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
