Darlings, Can You Believe It Is Another Musical Theater Week????????

Girls, let me explain, because this has nothing to do with "Glee;" has, in fact, been an event since anyone ever heard of "Glee!!!" Every year, from November 13 to 19, I personally designated Musical Theater Week, because in just this short span of time, so many Legends Of The Musical Stage have been born, including, loves, yours truly!!!!

Let us first start with yesterday, which we could not report on as given. It happened to be the 62nd birthday of Sammy Williams, the TONY winner who originated the role of Paul, with the legendary ACL Original Company, back in 1975. Sammy was a turning point for me, darlings, and an inspiration; he has had his ups and down, but he can still hoof it and is fabulous. Wouldn't we just love to dance with him, darlings!!!!! So happy birthday to Sammy!!!!! Cannot believe another year has gone by

Today happens to be the birthday of my lovely coworker, and sometime costar Victor. He has great legs, which would make him a great hoofer and drag artist--how about the name "Taffy Taffeta" loves?--and he is also a wonderful matinee idol. Victor always needs a drink, and I hope he gets plenty today, darlings!!!! Happy Birthday, Victor!!!!!!

From here we skip to Tuesday the sixteenth, with two for one, to make up for there being no one--at least that are known--on the fifteenth!!!!! Tuesday happens to be, once again, the birthday of The Greatest Show Stopper In Broadway History, and another "A Chorus Line" alum, Donna McKechnie!!!!! If you have been on here long enough, girls, you know what a source of courage and inspiration Donna has been over the years, which is why I still have some bodily flexibility, love, from all those early years of trying to BE Donna!!!!!! Now, there are two schools of thought about her age! One school puts it at 70, which I find questionable, as she looks SO fabulous, besides which, you know I would have heard about a big theatrical birthday bash for Donna, that I would of course have been invited to, danced for Donna at, and reported all on this blog. But I have not heard a word, so I am subscribing to the school that puts her age at 68!!!!! Either way she looks fabulous, AND when that birthday bash rolls around, you know we will be there, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tuesday marks another natal day, that of the Divine Martha Plimpton, who would be legend enough just being the daughter of Shelley Plimpton, who originated and immortalized the song "Frank Mills" in "HAIR!!!!" But Martha is a legend of her own, having been in the biz since a babe, a great stage actress, a surprisingly marvelous musical theater performer, by virtue of her recent appearance in the Roundabout "Pal Joey," and who now is having the time of her life playing the white trash wife and grandmom Virginia on "Raising Hope!!!!" We love you, Martha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wednesday just happens to be the birthday of another child musical theater legend, Neva Small!!!!! Now, most of you on here will know Neva from her film performance as Chava in "Fiddler On The Roof"--can you believe it has been almost 40 years, girls???--but ever since she sang "I Wonder How It Is" in "Henry, Sweet Henry" at the tender age of 14, she has been a legend. And Neva is still out there performing, buy sweeties, she isn't a little girl, anymore!!!!! In fact, this week Neva turns 58!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thursday was and always will be celebrated as the birthday of Dorothy Collins, the original Sally Durant Plummer in "Follies," whose rendition of "Losing My Mind" was hers, till she passed on, and it became Barbara Cook's!!!!!! But we always remember Dorothy on this day, which also happens to be the Natal Day of Yours Truly!!!! That is right, darlings, moi, The Raving Queen, was born on the eighteenth, and I promise you all a full account of the feast and frolics thereon!!!!!!!!!

So, it is quite a week girls!!!! But the past few days have been a social whirlwind, darlings!!!!! Monsieur Davide and I have been like two actors doing one night gigs on the road, what with high tailing it back and forth from one residence to the other. At least at mine, we cleaned, mastered the DVD, which can only help me with 'SVU', and slept on my sparkling pink Rue McClanahan sheets. He tried to tocu my books, but I would not let him, hahaha!!!!!!!!!!

The reason for this was because at Davide's there was a pan sexual, transexualm I don't know what, kind of orgy going on in the forms of two fun loving gals named Linda and Ariadne!!!!!! And you just wouldn't believe Ariadne--a cross between an elder rabbi and Maria Ouspenskaya!!!!! I mean, scary!!!!! And when we got back here last night, I was terrified of what we might find!!!! Kotex!!!!!!!
But things are back to normal, dears, with no disgusting hormonal vestiges remaining!!!!

Good thing the return was fortified by the two frozen Margaritas I consumed at Tito Pepe, where we had the birthday celebration for Tom, still my cherub at 45!!!!! And thank God I finally got to give him Jonathan Franzen's "Freedom!!!" We were joined by Joe, Mike, and the aforementioned Monsieur Davide, and us gals had a night on the town, what with here and Italian desert at Rocco's!!!! Just the fortifying we needed to face the aftermath of a transexual weekend!!!!!

Never a dull moment, darlings!!!! Next to Christmas Week, fast approaching, by the way, this is the fastest moving!!!!! So salute all these birthday legends this week, and just think we have made it through the year to another!!!!!

I hope your make up applique is as intact as mine, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!
