Darlings, The Legacy Is Coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The latest, girls, is that it looks good for Jersey legislation to pass tougher anti-bullying laws, with teachers required to take seminars related to dealing with and recognizing student suicides, and forms of bullying behavior. All in the wake of Tyler Clemanti, for whom, by the way, some of this legislature should be named. Just as in the wake of the horrific Megan Kanka murder, Megan's Law was enacted a similar edict should be drawn up named after Tyler. I am sure we would rather have Tyler and Megan with us today, but the names attached would serve as a reminder of what they had to endure in order that these be passed. And that future Tylers and Megans have a chance of not adding themselves as statistics!!!!!!!!

And it will reassert that Tyler will never be forgotten. Would that it had to come to this for him to attain this degree of immortality. You had better believe we at the Raving Queen on sitting on our fences, waiting for the outcome of this tragedy to unveil. Whatever the outcome, we must stand by and stand up for Tyler and his loved ones; if the outcome justifies our worst fears, there is still appeal, wrongful death suits and other actions that can be taken to insure that Ravi and Wei be meted out some kind of punishment.

Stand up for human individuality, girls!!! Stand up for the preservation of the artistic and sensitive, be they gay or straight! Stand up for the right of every individual to be who they are, and not conform to some ersatz social codes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
