Next To "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians," This Has To Be The Most Garish Movie I Have Ever Seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                     I am talking about "The Creation Of The Humanoids," which we all watched, this past Saturday night, on  "Svengoolie."

                                    Apparently, director Wesley Barry and writer Jay Simms had this idea of making an art nouveau sci-fi film, with overt tones, evidenced by the dialogue in Jay Simms' script, of  Aldous Huxley.  They should have stopped to take a look at the rushes.  Apparently, the production schedule  did not allow for it.

                                      Nevertheless, it did manage to impress one artist.  Supposedly, this was Andy Warhol's  all-time favorite film.  I will  stick to my own,  better taste,  with "The Wizard Of Oz."

                                        As for myself,  I would wager this  was shot in the same Long Island airplane hanger as "Santa Claus Conquers The Martians."  Perhaps the creators of THAT film, released two years later, in 1964, were influenced by this dreck.

                                            The one the viewer has to feel  sorry for is  Frances McCann, as Esme Craigis Milos.  This Esme has nothing  to  do  with  J.D. Salinger; she should be so lucky to  be so high brow..  But, she had been an erstwhile opera singer, where she had an MGM contract.  She made filler  in movies, but no  A-list MGM productions.  And then she ends up here???????????????

                                               If one can call him  A-list, Dudley Manlove, as Lagan, is  the film's  most  noted  actor.  Most of you  on here know  him  from  "Plan  Nine  From  Outer Space," which is a masterpiece, compared to this.  For years, we joked about Dudley's name, as an indicator of  his being gay, and  thought it was made  up.  Imagine my shock to discover not only was it his real name, but that he started out as  a child actor!  And under that name?  WTF were his parents thinking???????????????

                                                 Evidently, he  was  no  Coogan or Temple.  But then this  film  is no  great shakes.   Consider  yourselves lucky, if  you  missed it, and  save yourselves  the trouble if it  is shown again!

                                                  And how come all the humanoids are men???????????????????????
